Thanks for the review. I have a 30 year old Linhof alum & metal german tripod a friend gave me. I reconditioned it with a fresh coat of paint, looks new BUT it's heavy to carry around in the great outdoors I just bought a canon 100-400 USM MK2 lens for my canon 5DMK4. based on your review I just ordered this tripod and the Oben GH-30 Gimbal Head, wish me luck with all the new toys Brian.. thanks again for your review

that is a good tripod for short people....
I'm tall and looking at their RC-8880. Probably a lot taller than you.
