    Besides all of the normal exercise data, I use my fitness tracker to track sleep. Sleep tends to be the first thing to go in a busy life and having some accountability with that has helped with recovery and getting rid of brain fog during the day.

      Sleep does seem to be the first to go, but it is so important! Having a honest reference for how much you are actually getting can be really helpful!

    That's what I always explain to my patients. I'm a PT in the public service in my country, and as part of my job we do physical activity consultations. That's the first thing I talk about in the first meeting.
    So important 👍

    Great info-agreed, fitness trackers can def inspire to up your fitness game. I love my Whoop, but may need to downgrade to a less expensive tracker. Feeling pretty conflicted about it…

    Thank you for another motivational video!!
    I wear my tracker 24/7. Started about 4 years ago with an Apple Watch. I wanted more health data and less/no "smart watch" functions. So I sold the Apple Watch and bought me a Garmin Fenix6. Now having a Garmin Fenix7. To track my CrossFit and Running workouts I wear a Polar H10 chest strap with the F7 to be more accurate. Love the combo! My tracker keeps mee motivated and helps me setting goals en crush them!

    The single biggest behavioral change fitness trackers drove for me is reducing alcohol. It’s mind blowing that even 2-3 drinks ruin your biometrics for the next day. That means your training for that day is going to be suboptimal

    Thank you for the good information. I always try to aim for more than 10,000 and I don't like it when I miss that goal. Today I was working on a family farm after my Publix and ended up with just under 20,000. It feels good.

    I always have a fitness tracker watch incl. Heart rate monitor during my workouts as I watch my heart rate during Intervalls.

  • @Robert-qm1ld
    @Robert-qm1ld Před rokem

    I used to use fitness trackers but gave them up when the last one quit working. What I want is a tracker with an always on heart rate monitor while exercising so I can work out and check my heart rate without a phone or stopping to push a button.

    • @albertfischer8804
      @albertfischer8804 Před rokem

      You might want to look into one of Garmin's watches. The heart rate monitor isn't always completely accurate but it's usually close. You don't need to buy their latest and greatest, I try to stay a generation or 2 behind due to cost. Good luck with whatever program you're doing for yourself.

    I absolutely love my Apple Watch for tracking Active calories and being connected to my friends. The accountability is unquestionable. If I don’t move or workout I get “wellness” checks from the crew 😂

      The one we did at CrossFit Polaris, their gym, was a 5k walk every day for one month. I did most of those days with a 20# ruck.
