  • Was pretty keen to check out the new "Dream Mat" so when BeagleBoy invested in a new Goldrat Highbanker I was lucky enough to give it a whirl at my place. Dont forget to check out www.goldngemsaustralia.com

    I really dig how slick the workmanship is down there! Such a nice piece of gear, Simple, clean and functional.. And with those k-Dream mats, a perfect mate...I saw those mats at a gpaa show earlier this year and am stoked to see the testing and at how well they seem to work! Going to have to give them a go. They look as though they can handle quite a toss. Cheers and thanks!

    great video mate, glad you blokes took the skirt off and put some water through her in the later part. ive been ruthless and ran 4 inches of water through a 12" highbanker and still had crazy good gold recovery. thanks for the honest review.

      Yeah more water helps smash up the clay too, couple more goes and we will have it running at its optimum, full of gold, ;)

    I checked them out and WOW those high bankers are expensive. Looks like it's been well built and works but adding shipping to the USA puts it out my league.

    • @BalxiesGoldAdventures
      @BalxiesGoldAdventures  Před 8 lety

      Mid range over here but your right exporting high bankers can get super expensive, ones from the USA usually have a minimum 30% extra cost on them by the time they land over here.. At least you have a good deal on Aussie dollars ATM, saves you 25%.

    I'd like to see what would come out of that hole with a 3 or 4 inch dredge! I bet that dream mat would work fantastic with a dredge.....great video!

    • @BalxiesGoldAdventures
      @BalxiesGoldAdventures  Před 7 lety

      so would i mate but sadly they are banned here, does a dredge struggle with hard pack or clay?

    • @jayllin13
      @jayllin13 Před 7 lety

      As long as your pump is kicking out 70+ psi of water pressure through the flare they'll usually chew through the hard pack but that clay is some tough stuff to run. Yeah were dealing with a ban on dredging here in northern California as well.

      For big gold mate, hahahaha. You'd have to ask the manufacturer, but with the matting the big stuff just bounces out with the right pressure.

      May 1st 2021 today. On April 1st I paid $206 for the 10" x36 mat to have it delivered "express" from Australia to Oregon, US. Got it 4 days ago.😆
      THEY ARE OVERWHELMED SO ORDER EARLY.

    I'd match my gold hog raptor 2.0 against it. I've used the dream mats and their capture rates are much lower then the gold hog mats I run 98.9%. The high banker itself looks pretty good. I don't like spray bars how ever as they tend to plug up using semi trash pumps. Excellent video and good luck with your mining exploits.

    Not much fine gold. Same problem I had with the dream mats. Test your tailings and you'll see what I mean.

    • @BalxiesGoldAdventures
      @BalxiesGoldAdventures  Před 6 lety

      Im not much for picking teams regarding recovery systems but in their defence there is very little fine gold in this creek and I have used the mats at Eldorado which has very fine flour gold and it caught almost all of it just a few specs in the tailings. My favorite system is a bread crate set up which is 100% free so they all are pretty good if used correctly. Cheers mate.

      Nothing wrong with the mat re fine gold , I, like a lot of other people in the world spent years experimenting with creating low presure cells in lots of formats and it always came back to very simple physics, regardles of the shape it is all about the speed of the water passing over the obsticle, so doesnt matter which commercial system being used it has to adjusted by the operator to suit the conditions you want to achieve, thats why some mat makers hedge their bets with several different mats on one sluice, with dream mat simply adjust the waterflow to get the results you want. I would encourage people to really experimentwith their flow rates on any sluice, start run pump way to slow then way too fast checking the tailings and you will soon getthe confidence to match the flow with the expected type of gold and soil conditions, If youstart getting all sexed up over 1 percent difference in performance your putting thecart before the horse, better spending your mind and time prospecting the area to get the best return rather than chasing 1 percent in tailings.

      It’s called a Dream Mat because only in your dreams does it work as well as Hungarian riffles.
