    Great video and tutorial, Matt!
    Digital mug wraps are a hot niche on Etsy. 🔥

    Sometimes it's just the little things that matter. Did not know you can sync images. Great time saver. Excellent video.

    I love the idea! It seems like when you downsized your image from the 15 oz mug wrap to the 11 oz mug wrap, the image is cutting off the hole at the top. For example, the dog in the hole looks ok on both mug sizes but the other ones didn’t have enough room at the top. Another question… can you guys teach us how to sell wall art on Etsy? I love those. Thank you so much for your videos and suggestions!

    Thank you for this video. I didn't understand why you entered the dimensions in the canvas manually. Can't you just use a template for a mug from the product catalog with the same dimensions? This would make it easier to align the graphics. Or is there a specific reason for this?

    • @mydesignsio
      @mydesignsio  Před 3 měsíci +3

      Physical Mugs, depending on the provider being used, may be slightly different. We just don't have a template setup for digital wraps yet. Which is why I've entered them manually.

    Hello, I am gen x and technology illiterate. I'm trying to understand how this works. People buy the digital product and then print it out, but does the average person own a printer capable of printing these or how does that work? And of course I'm assuming they would also have to buy the special paper to print it on? I'm sorry, but I'm totally lost as to how this concept actually looks. Sincerely,
    A Confused 46 Year Old 😅

    • @mydesignsio
      @mydesignsio  Před 3 měsíci

      People use them in multiple ways. Some people print themselves, and others use the file to have a 3rd party company print and ship it to them.

    I've never heard of a "mug wrap" -- it would have been cool if you had shown what is the product and how it is used.. I suppose an end consumer can add art to a mug it seems?

    • @mydesignsio
      @mydesignsio  Před 3 měsíci

      That's correct. People buy the digital wraps to then print them on their own mugs.
      Thank you for the suggestion. I can see how that could be confusing.

  • @KenViranyi
    @KenViranyi Před 4 měsíci

    Newbie question... After upscaling the images, they are only 72PPI. Don't they have to be at least 300PPI for printing?

    • @CurtisBlackmore
      @CurtisBlackmore Před 4 měsíci +2

      If you upscale then size down, it increases PPI. The canvas editor will export at 300 PPI, but technically, it will be whatever you upscaled and then shrunk down to (probably around ~250 PPI), which is more than enough for a high quality sublimation for these wraps.

    May I ask. How do you create actual physical wraparound mugs? Is it the same but you pick Physical Products instead of Digital?

    • @CurtisBlackmore
      @CurtisBlackmore Před 4 měsíci +1

      We will be adding full bleed mugs to the MyDesigns print on demand catalog soon. :)

    • @mydesignsio
      @mydesignsio  Před 4 měsíci +1

      It depends on the size and print provider. They are all going to be somewhat close but could be slightly different. If you're using MyDesigns just use the templates we have setup in the canvas for the physical mugs... and as Curtis stated, as soon as we add full bleed mugs these exact dimensions will be perfect.
