  • Ḫattuša was the capital of the Hittite Empire in the late Bronze Age. Its ruins lie near modern Boğazkale, Turkey. Hattusa was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1986. In this video I talk about the history of the place, the main archeological finds, and the main attractions of the site. These include the Grand Temple with the green stone, the walls of the city, the Gates (Lion Gate, Sphinx Gate, and King Gate), and the Yerkapı Tunnel.
