    I win often and my strategy is to apply to absolutely everything that my family or i could use, not wasting time on the blogs that want 1000 likes/follows for a small prize, and never setting my heart on a specific prize. If you focus on a specific prize, youll just be disappointed when you most likely dont win. That way it's just a nice surprise when i do win 😊 I see too many getting frustrated because they got too focused on one prize they didn't win. Remember, there will always be more sweeps to enter, with even better prizes so dont lose hope!

    • @Contestqueen
      @Contestqueen  Před 6 měsíci

      I follow that strategy. I only enter for what I want. Saves heaps of time.
      I discovered recently it also has to do with my Human Design. Helene Hadsell was a Specific Generator, and I am a general. That's why she could pick a prize and win it. I need to be more general and focus on the feeling/experience of similar.

    That’s why I try to avoid giveaways where you have to like/share/tag a friend. I’ve never won one of those and I’ve never talked to anyone who has PLUS it’s completely at the contest holder’s (contest runner’s?) discretion who wins. Meaning if they don’t like how you look in your profile picture, they can avoid picking you. If you try to get around that issue by not having a profile picture, they might think you’re a bot and avoid you for that reason. I like giveaways where I put in my info and there’s a very clear-cut “SUBMIT” or “ENTER” button at the bottom and then you get a nice “Thanks for entering” message at the end. No sweat.

    I won twice in the beginning. I won a brand new truck plus cash, and the second item was a coffee mug. That amount of success right away seemed like a fluke. It was after this I began to take it seriously. I organized my sweeps by entry frequency, date ending, and read the rules to make sure I didn’t disqualify myself. I set aside time in the morning, then again in evening when the wife and I were watching TV to enter. For an entire year I did this religiously and the only thing I won was a coupon for a free Twix bar. It got disheartening. I must be doing something wrong, but have no clue what that is.

    Hello. There was a sweepstakes someone entered that had a grand prize “drawing”. You could enter by buying merchandise or mai-in envelopes. When the drawing came around, the contest owner had nothing but those people that purchased merchandise on strips of paper. There were absolutely no mail-ins that were in the vessel to be drawn from. There were thousands of entries. What are the odds that not a single mail-in entry made it into the drawing?

    Some contest rules are vague. They say the contest is open worldwide but say void where prohibited 😐Since Florida is a stickler with contests, I avoid those type. Also, one contest by a well known company was giving away a trip to England and didn't even mention where the contest was valid.

    • @Contestqueen

      If it says open to 48 or all states, FL is included. Void where prohibited means Canadians cannot enter, for example. Poorly written rules are a whole separate problem. I recommend reaching out to the sponsor for clarification. I ha e seen rules fixed after the fact to be clearer.

      10 It depends on where you live and 2) it depnds on the rules of the sweepstakes. If you are under age, you parent swill have to claim the prize for you and they would be responsible for taxes, if there are any.

      They are not. There are scams out there which is why you have to read the rules. I have won almost $400 000 in cash and prizes since 2001 including 23 trips (I am on one right now!!). Companies in the U.S. spend billions each ear running legitimate promotions. It's why I recommend using a sweepstakes aggregate as they make finding them easier.

      They do. Google "sweeptakes as a marketing strategy". You will find hundereds of results. I work with lawyers that specialize in Promotional Law, yes it is a thing as they write the rules. Companies like ShortStack and Woobox built their entire business model serving companies hosting contests making them easier to create, execute, manage and share. You can believe what you will, but I attend the Annual National Sweepstakes Convention and am friends with hundreds of other winners, so I know it's not just me.

Some of the aggregates on my site are subscription based (you know it's not free for anyone to run a business online, so they are recouping their expenses) and others are free. Have you tried Sweepstakes Fanatics? That is a great free aggregate hosting legitimate sweepstakes for you to enter, for free!
