Is it worth studying in Finland? | Tuition fee & Scholarship Scenarios

  • So many students these days ask me this question and I have seen this question on many platforms. In this video, I have given my perspective on the current situation regarding tuition fees, scholarships, and changing rules at the government level. I have talked about the following topics:
    Should you select Finland in the upcoming years?
    Is Finland a suitable choice if given a scholarship?
    Is Finland a suitable choice if you have to pay a full tuition fee?
    How much time can it take you to get a part-time job in Finland?
    For how much time should you be prepared in terms of your living expenses?

    I would like to add my two cents here. All of the major popular student destinations like Australia, Canada, and the UK have drastically changed their policies recently. Let's talk about Australia where the average fee per semester has been increased to $AUD18k-20k. Where you have to hold a bank statement ranging from 9 to 13 million for almost 6-7 months and the visa ratio has been fucked up this year. Talk about Canada, they have increased the fee and the job market is worse than ever there. Talk about UK, though a good visa ratio, it's too much saturated and future isn't bright. Talk about Germany, where you need to have good grades, or you have to deal with block amount or you have to deal with embassy appointments. Given all these situations, Finland is still a good option even with a full fee. Only one con is that you would have to struggle to find part time job.

    • @shoaibqureshi278
      @shoaibqureshi278  Před 2 měsíci +5

      Thanks for your comment and yes that is true. Paying that much amount as a fee with struggles in finding a part time job makes it an expensive choice. Then comes the language barrier as well for the fields that are not related to IT or computer science. From that aspect, it is better to look for those countries that provide scholarships. As I mentioned in the video that most of the people these days or specifically my audience are from the middle class sector and for them paying this much fee becomes close to impossible.

      Both are good choices and it might be difficult to say one. As far as i know, both the cities have pakistani community. If your program in Oulu is related to engineering/technology then it would be a better option considering Nokia (the company) has good connection with oulu university.

      @@meerraza559 I have been explaining these things in my videos so watch them. Each university has their own requirements so check from the university in which you are applying. There are a few programs in which the interview is conducted for a masters degree but many programs do not require an exam or interview

      Depends on the fee. if it is around 5000€ per year and you can manage it for the first year then you can decide to come. This is just one scenario.

      It depends on your field as well. It is true that part time jobs are a bit difficult to find these days. It can take up to a few months to a year to get a job. So decide accordingly! I hope it helps.
