Great video...Reminds me of what a unique island Montserrat is. My Dad was there from 98 - 01 (I think) and visited several times. I would go back in a heartbeat because of its isolation and the people. Hope tourism is recovering. N.B. wasn't it 97 when the volcano ruined Plymouth?

Lovely chilled out island, nice place to relax and re-charge those batteries but getting there could be a nightmare especially from the UK as you may not get your connection at Antigua airport or at the fer port.

Maybe you should learn a bit about the country before you make such silly statements. The airport (along with the capitol city of Plymouth) was destroyed in the volcanic eruption of 2007. Prior to that they DID have flights to Montserrat. There was no money to rebuild the airport as it was, so now there is only a small strip and regional air service from Antigua.

@@donniebrown2896 No it's not the same difference, and historians have been very vocal about this lately.
Also, Irish servants on Montserrat would've been bound to mostly Irish masters, as more than two-thirds of the colonial white population of the island was Irish. The Irish were also big planters on Montserrat, and slaveowners.
