- In this video, I unbox, review and demo the 2024 Home Depot Chucky Animatronic. Unfortunately, mine came with a lot of issue. I have the hair peeling off in the front with a lot of bald spot on the head. I had a wire that was chipped and would not snap together. I also had the motor moving with no sound or animation happening at times. I will do a part 2 video if I am able to get new parts.
I was just about to say the cord goes through the bottom of the pants lol
Yep I see that now. I was just checking out others who did videos of him and there is definitely something wrong with mine. Others have very fluid animations and there is no extended motor noise or movement between phrases. It’s all good though! 😊thanks for checking out the video!
So looks like for the power cord issue, you can run it down one of his pants leg to help keep cord length. Not use to that with most other animatronics. Still, the hair issue, the broken clip on the cable and the motor/no voice or animation at times are all still concerns.
Definitely so! They sent me a new one and it works fine but the hair is still a mess! 😂
Just saw one of these in store yesterday. Looks good to me
@@trekgod3 yeah, if you can get a good one then you are good to go!
Sounds like you have the same luck I do none at all 🤣 good video 👍
@@1819HUNTINGFORTHEHISTORY 8 out of 10 of my Home Depot animatronics were defective this year. Record high. Not been a great start.
You should get yours checked up.
I just got my chucky Monday and I was so relieved he didn’t came with any issues with the programming neither the closed eyes. He’s perfect!
@@random-mexxican5071 you were definitely lucky!
There's something wrong with the programming and that seems to be a common issue.. The one I got doesn't open his eyes fully (yours doesn't either). Watch other reviews and you'll see what I'm talking about. Just gotta hope that stores nearby get some that actually work...
@@crashnebula7 thanks for the heads up! I see there is something definitely wrong with mine when looking at other videos of him. SVI is sending me the replacement parts.
She’s not fully opening might not be a programming issue it might be a weak motor but once you use it more it will strengthen up
@@DonaldDuckLover123 gotcha! Well, SVI is sending me a replacement head and body so we will see how that works out.
So weird how his head is moving back and forth like that
It’s not a fail you just got a messed up one and they probably threw the box
That sucks. My Chucky works works fine, but he also has thinning hair. Main thing I don't like is the low volume. I'm not going to be be able to use him where I planned because people won't be able to hear him. Hope they send you what you need in time.
@@willieloomis5958 thanks man I appreciate it! Yeah the volume is low on him! I like him for sure but seems like they rushed with production and quality control wasn’t the best. I’ll do an update soon!
He has one hell of a dent in his forehead. That sucks w\hen you look forward to something and it comes in damaged.
@@killerklown79 yeah it really sucks. This guy sold out in less than 3-5 minutes so he was hard to get. I hope I can get the parts!
I guss during shipping, he crimped his hair ???
I mean, hes gotta do something to pass the time .....
@@thatguysstuff15 😂 right!
You have so many intricate connections and wiring on these animatronics. Think about this, these dolls get packaged, put onto each other, paletted, moved onto cargo ships and repeat when they reach America, then another possible handling if they are shipped to the stores, a lot of banging around.
@@marvart I agree! It’s a miracle that most arrive intact. This year I have had many issues though and I think they did a rush to get everything out early and the quality control wasn’t the best.
Jack Nicholson Chucky is a HARD PASS 😂😂😂
@@JayCruces he is definitely not for everyone’s liking.
Mine came with the closed eyes issue 😢 just called the # a few hours ago and already got a confirmation email of the replacement
@@jgilmourtechsmog yeah, SVI was quick with my replacement as well. I still hate the hair but I think I’m going to get him a beanie.
Hair and face expression when it dimples in is bad bad
Yeah, it could be better for sure.
yours had one of the exact same problems mine had. When he grinned only one side of his cheek went up. I got lucky and took the head back to Home Depot and they swapped it out with a head from another box. That was the only issue mine had, and it works fine now. Yours seems to have multiple issue. Sorry that happened to you
@@southlanfilmsusa it’s OK! I had to get a new head and torso, but he’s working fine now.
You must of not read the instructions it says run the adapter down one of his legs, and that's how you do most animatronics, we had no issues. works fine.
I did notice yours has way shorter hair than ours
@@will2dmax1 yes I commented in this section right after I posted the video. Had to get a new head and torso. Many ppl have issues with theirs but I’m still keeping it.
So does that mean the prop is cheaply made?
@@ericvideos239 I think it was rushed. This was one that nobody knew about and was thrown in the mix as a surprise drop but the volume and hair issues seem to be on them all.
@@ViewsFromTheCrypt-lm2kz not good
@@ericvideos239 exactly! Not good at all!
@@ViewsFromTheCrypt-lm2kz true
Dawg only 3 speaking phrases? Of all the many things Chucky has said that’s all they can do? Wack!
@@jaylenwallace2458yeah, they could have done a lot better!
for the price point its quite cheaply made and every year getting worse with Halloween props in general.
His motor is so loud
Yeah. SVI is sending me a new body and head. I hope it works.
I got a chucky in store and absolutely love him. However, i do have a similar issue with his hair. The front strands are loose and keeps covering his eye. Not sure if i should use super glue or try something like hair spray. What did you do?
How did you get replacement parts from HD? I only ask because he's sold out everywhere now.
Glad you got it working though!
@@GeneralFrankenberry yeah his hair is a complete mess. SVI sent me a new head and torso. Email them at
customerservice@svius.com then give them your name and address. Tell them what parts you need from the parts list in the instructions. For example, part M, part C, etc. paste a copy or proof of purchase and they will create a ticket for you. Then, you should hear from them in a day or two letting you know if they have the parts in stock. Try a replacement head for sure.
@ViewsFromTheCrypt-lm2kz Thanks for the info! Did your new head have better hair? I guess I'm worried they might send a worse head of hair than what I already have lol.
Also, someone in your comments mentioned Chucky's eyes being somewhat closed. Mine is the same way, but I think that's how they are all made and not a defect?
I honestly believe the first ones that people buy are prototypes and they have to get rid of them first…Home Depot is prepared for issues like this.. so what happens next … they just ship you a new one… hope everything works out🤡🤡🤡
Thanks! I believe you are right. They are shipping me a new body and head now. I will do an update.
Hey I’ll b honest he’s 200 dollars and he is very worth it their will be many issues, any other company would sell him for like four hundred dollars
@@jackshauntedhouse I completely agree with you!
for the price point its not good as there can be custom dolls made for more but a lot better quality! sad when hundreds cant buy you anything substantial these days.. well we get what we put up with.
Why did they use seed of chucky sound bites when he isn’t that variation of Chucky, weird
@@alanissantana8048 I have no idea! 😂
@@ViewsFromTheCrypt-lm2kz sorry I’m a lil bit of a stickler when it comes to chucky 😮💨sorry bout the wonk animatronic though!!
@@alanissantana8048 yeah it sucks but I think I can get replacements parts. Thanks for checking out my video!
Going off the voice lines and package, i believe he was originally going to be the Bride/Seed version but they changed last minute.
@@SoftEndy interesting! You might be right!
Yours is definitely malfunctioning. Also, there is a hole in the back for the cable.
@@alexgalvan5413 I made a follow up video. They sent me a new head and torso so I’m good now. Thanks for watching! He is cool and unique. They didn’t make a lot of him so he may be rare in the future.
My volume doesn't work at all on mines. :/
its horrible. the are sending me a replacement.
What a waste of money, it doesn't even look scary where are his bloody scars on his face?.
@@HUNGRYDOGPRODUCTIONS yeah they could of done better for sure but he is ok. I think he is better off at a $100 price point. With the proper lighting at night, you can bring out the more creepier side.
Not the bride of Chucky this prop is based on the Chucky the TV series .
Should have had Velcro
@@keithbryantsr3734 I agree!
I think his head should not do that 🤔
7:45 he shows it moving.
Chucky is supposed to be 29 inches
@@SoftEndy yeah, this one is definitely taller!
The hair looks crimped
@@TheLostWorldFanChann it looks bad! 😂
Trash. I decided to pull the trigger on this today because of the videos online. Worse mistake. I will be returning this crap back to home depot ASAP. The doll feels and looks cheap in person. I had better chucky dolls on esty. This is not recommended
@@buddayoyo9781 yeah my excitement for it has lessened over time. They could have made it a lot better. He still is in high demand.
I’m glad I didn’t buy it lol
@@jenniferciccone9026 it works now. They sent me a replacement part and he is doing fine. I still hate his hair but it’s ok overall. 😂
I wouldn’t have bought that, what a waste of money……
@@chriscravens4915 so far you might be right. I can always return it.
@@ViewsFromTheCrypt-lm2kz Yeah you can do that and get something better and bigger……
@@ViewsFromTheCrypt-lm2kz That thing looks like it’s jerking off with that knife when it says whatever he’s supposed to say, now if both arms moved and it was better then yeah it would be worth keeping but no it’s not…..
Its garbage and a waste of money
@@BurtsDesserts I can see why you say that. If it worked correctly all the time, I’d still say it’s worth it. It’s a different take on Chucky.
It's actually a really good value for $199 with his facial expressions. It's unfortunate his was defective, but it's awesome when normal.
It looks like garbage. All licensed animatronics look like garbage. I don't know why consumers settle for such cheap quality. Seriously that looks awful along with the Myers, Freddy and Frankenstein, Vader and the rest that were made. They all are built so cheaply with no meat to the arms and legs with shiny thin cheap fabric. The hands on all of them look like oversized plastic doll hands.
Continue accepting such poor quality.
The face sculpt looks nothing like the films. The motor is loud and moves like it's obviously an animatronic.
I will never understand why they are so popular.
Well, I agree you have point but....these cost way less than a realistic one. Not all of them look bad in my humble opinion but most do. Let's take Vader for example. A realistic Vader would cost you in the thousands. Most go for 10K and up so a low budget version for $300 wasn't bad that you can mod and make it look a lot better. All of them have potential for the price points. I would rather pay more for a better build but there is nothing I would pay thousands for so you have to consider the price for most people. Cost is a major factor. But you are right...they could be better for sure.
A good well made licensed animatronics in my opinion is Emily & Victor from Spirit Halloween. 2 licensed props from the movie “Corpse Bride”
@@collectibleanimatedantiques Completely agree!
@@ViewsFromTheCrypt-lm2kz I have built two Vader's. They average at $5k. Who ever pays $10k got ripped off.
And the animatronic looks like trash. They could do better for $300. For starters they can start using frames that actually look like full human bodies and fit the cheap material onto it properly instead of using these thin wire frames with the fabric literally hanging off of it. I'm sure they can use better looking material and still be $300.
@@jeremydrew1227 he is on sale for 8K!
