As a Brazilian (from the southern state of Paraná), I must say I'd never imagined that the sources of tropical aquarium fish were so much alike the aquarium the supply themselves - proportions kept aside, of course.

I so want to do that. this is brilliant. more video of fish in the wild please. I'm a great believer in establishing honest biotopes and this sort of video is really inspiring. thanks so much I really enjoyed that!

my god this is pure gold, amazing how the actual tetras we get in a store actually live, now I do realize why the hide throughout of the day, the water they live in tends to be a little dark with lots of organic material, but in the end is cristaline water, great video, congratulations.

Tetras in their natural environment - ahhh, nothing like some nice, murky, dirty water filled with tannins
Tetras inside of a fish tank - THE WATER HASN'T BEEN CHANGED IN 2 WEEKS. THE LIGHT, SLOWLY FADING.... GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD. ☠️

Its the same with plants. In the wild you will see several species growing together, mixed, grasses mixed with taller stem plants. Just like the fish do. Great video - reminds me of Theodore Roosevelt's Amazon travels diary.

Its great to see the Natural Habitat and the look of their environment. However I am against taking fish from the wild for many, many reasons. Ideally there is no need to take fish from the wild as nowadays we should have the Equipment and resources to breed in captivity.. In my country it is illegal to take from the wild, I just hope that there are limits on the Quantity that can be taken as this is now animals become extinct.
