@@itzskye7074 I guess the plot wasn't really darker, but I still consider it less happy than the movie. Basically in the comic Bal is actually a villain and wasn't framed for killing the queen (there is no queen mentioned in the comic) and there's this whole thing with jade root and I am horrible at summarizing things. If you want to read it, go ahead! It's a webcomic, and the plot is definitely a bit different but I would recommend it.

Its honestly really good! Sadly ambrosius and Ballister aren’t together but they still have a really interesting dynamic and the comic is totally worth reading!
I do think it was implied that they got together after the book. If not, it is at least canon in the book that Ambrosius and Ballister liked each other, even if they didn't get together@@Mr.Starzs

At the end of the nimona comic Ambrosius was in a accident and had to use a crutch, you can see in the photo that I compared ambrosius to in the comic he uses a crutch in it. That photo was taken from the end of the comic ^^ Ambrosius also gained the scar on his face from the accident

I assumed that they dated during some period that wasn’t specifically stated in the comic so thats why I made them surprised when they found out they were still dating in the movie ☺️
