    Start from Nigeria government itself. To get Nigerian visa is even harder for many countries. Imagine, Nigeria that's rarely found on the bucket list of most tourists around the world is now even hard to get. Even if Nigeria makes the country a visa free for every country globally, heavens will not fall. Instead, it's one of the most difficult to get, are those in power thinking at all?
    Let Nigeria take the lead, and see other African countries follow.

    Having a borderless Africa can be very problematic. Extremists in one country may flee to another country and cause trouble then. We saw how war like pre colonial Africa was (Kingdom of Dahomy, Yoruba kingdom, etc). Even then they had borders for their kingdom and conditions so the idea of no borders may sound good on paper but in practice it can’t work unless the whole continent have the same religion and beliefs in which they all can follow a certain leader that will stand by their religious beliefs. Also in Africa there are many Muslims who wouldn’t match the way of living of the animist people.

    • @kwawkwansah2452
      @kwawkwansah2452 Před 13 dny

      It is your view that is problemstic.
      You refer to the ancient empires and pre colonial times but actually reference colonial period ideas And post colonial events.
      Is Africa the only place to see conflict ?
      The answer is a resounding no, the largest wars ever fought were not started by Africans
      Ironically the first battle of WWl is said to have been in Togoland and was a British v German conflict over a radio station.
      Of course there will be challenges but they can be overcome through harmonisation. Evidence of this is clear because just about every African was already massively diverse.
      You are not citing an opinion but a divisive wish which is not welcome

    • @hihello-yv2tt
      @hihello-yv2tt Před 13 dny +1

      @@kwawkwansah2452 Im Muslim, I believe that we should live in our communities and not be influenced by non muslims. Naturally when Muslims live among non Muslims, unfortunately many of them adopt some cultural aspects of the non Muslims and in Islam this is problematic. Also our People cannot marry animists and eat from their meat let alone engage in their rituals so why would we Muslims mix with animists? These are some examples of why borders are important. If there is no borders, it can result in chaos and cause a lot of problems in terms of land ownership, ethnic clashing, etc. Many people in Africa are sedentary and are designated around a certain field of land that they inherited and if there are no borders that can result in overpopulation as well as letting the worst of the worst come to your country. You have to look at the past to prepare for the future and If you want to ignore how Africa was before the Europeans came, then you are living in a fantasy if you assume things will change to the better once these colonial powers leave. As I said, Africa was having a lot more wars before the Europeans and hatred for others within the continent still exists (Example: Fulani Muslims being hated by the christian and jewish Igbo which is still common today, Nigerians and Ghanaians having this love-hate relationship which is historic, Senegal-Gambia conflicts, Sudan vs South Sudan conflict, a hatred for the DR Congo by neighbors Congo and Cameroon, etc). Religion is important in Africa and many Africans fought and still do due to differences in spiritual beliefs.

      So you and your ideas are the problem !
      You are again repeating yourself about pre colonial ideas but using post colonial ideas.
      How can Nigerian, Ghanaian disagreements be ancient. Neither country is more than 75 Years old
      You really need to disinfect your brain.
      Maybe find out more about the concept of tolerance as it seems very alien to you
      Mugu yaaro !

      @kwawkwansah2452 Před 12 dny

      @@hihello-yv2tt your arguments are extremely ill informed all the examples you give are of post colonial events.
      Example do you really know the Nigeria - Ghana disagreement, not a war mind.
      Its main cause is the busia government.
      Mindful that their many collaborations exceed this minor tiff.
      It doesnt go further back than the 1960s as those nations didnt really exist as such entities before then.
      You clearly are ill informed, ignorant and self deprecating.
      The biggest wars in history were not caused by Africans ever heard of the two world wars.
      Ironically the first battle of WWl between british and germans over a radio station is said to have taken place in Togoland.
      It is clear that we do have big problems though with people who think [and i use the word loosely] like you. Persons of your ilk are Africa's biggest hurdle

    With what the criminal elements in Nigeria are doing in West Africa, a borderless Africa will be a long shot. In Ghana there are droves of young Nigerians trooping into the country almost on a daily basis and guess what they do? Internet fraud and prostitution. It is so bad if care is not taken crime control will be very difficult in Ghana. They are not used to the fact that the neighboring countries have regard for law and order. Truth is there are very good hard working and honest Nigerians going about their work and businesses in Ghana and they are part of the communities where they are. The criminal elements who for the most parts are running away from the law back in Nigeria are more than the regular good ones
