A friend of mine had a house that he rented on Breese right across from Camp Randall. Before the Ohio State game in 2010, Ron Dayne came into his house, took a piss, grabbed a beer, and left.
We were honored.
I have seen Ron do this before around campus. not on a game day but this is an awesome story.
BEFORE the game? Obviously Ron was cognizant of the need of proper hydration.
West Virginia fan here! Just wanna I'm glad that Barry will coach the Rose Bowl. I'm rooting for you Badger Nation! He is an absolute legend.
Let's Go Mountaineers! Go Badgers!
Thanks coach and to all the BADGERS players we do recognize and appreciate u all...ON WISCONSIN
This needs to be updated with the Magical Auburn bowl win that he stepped in for. Some great moments and lines from Barry in that game.
Matthew Anderson YES, absolutely.
I was waiting for the 2015 CAPITAL One BOWL myself as well.
Mat Lapay and Max McGee the two best voices for football in WI. Dayne to the 40, Dayne to the 30, Dayne to the 20, Ron Dayne is going all the way! Love it!
Great Video.
From this SC TROJAN.
BADGERS have Always had a CLASSY Team and Coach and despite the 2015 HOLIDAY BOWL Loss to the BADGERS it was a very hard fought game and probably the Best game 2nd to ALABAMA/CLEMSON.
FIGHT 🏈n BADGERS, I've Always Respected your program.
From a badger fan thanks man and I have a ton of respect for you guys
@@lonzob1135 I'm a auburn fan and I still remember when he beat us and our elite offense when he came out of retirement to coach the outback bowl , but much respect to Barry Alvarez!
Man this brings back the memories. I was a kid growing up watching these teams and they forever made me a Badgers fan. On Wisconsin!!!
Matthew Anderson I know this 2017 season didn't End the way you wish it would, but things like that don't stay this way forever.
BADGERS will be right back in the mix.
I'll argue that they need to incorporate some more creativity on Offense, but with time, they'll be Fine.
CLASS ACT Program, Head Coach.
FIGHT 🏈n BADGERS!
Proud to say my first memory of Badger football was the 1994 Rose Bowl when I was 5 years old! No wonder I've become a diehard badger fan! these are some great moments, Nothing Like Gameday in Madison these plus many more great memories and the Future is Bright! ON WISCONSIN
So THAT'S what loyalty looks like...
I remember when he was chosen as head coach, one of the ESPN talking heads predicted WI would be in a Rose Bowl within 5 years. It was just before ND championship game against Colorado. He was right, and Alvarez restored what might have been the worst Large conference Div. 1 football programs to a top 20 program. Thanks Barry.
The man that saved Wisconsin athletics
Wins are good for the soul
I get chills every time I hear that Season Tickets line.. Miss you Coach Alvarez!
This nearly brought me to tears!
HE'S BACKKKKKKK
Thank you Coach.
This was the defining turning point in Wisconsin sports history. He has changed the sports landscape in Madison and still continues to this day. He is a legend.
He's the greatest thing to happen to wisconsin sports
Great video! On Wisconsin!!!
thanks coach
I remember how boring Badgers football was prior to the hiring of Barry Alvarez. He took a dead program and turned it into one of the best programs in the Big Ten! LEGEND!
We at Lincoln Northeast had him first...we gave him his FIRST Championship! People seem to forget about us.
My dad Was at Wisconsin during 1993, and every Morning Barry Alvarez would be out for a run. and every year when my dad was moving around campus, he would almost always come so close to accidentally backing into Barry with his moving truck.
Looking forward to the addition of his 2 returns to the field
Make that, 119 wins.
hats off to barry go wisconsin
Ron Dayne once came to my friends house before a game (he was retired from the NFL at this point) high as shit and asked to use the bathroom. He came in, had a piss, grabbed a beer, and left.
Ron Dayne should still be the alltime rushing leader. Stupid NCAA. The guy who "passed" him gets his bowl games added to the total but Dayne doesn't. What sense does that make?
i can verify this was a typical dayne move on campus even when he was a student :) I lived on west wash saw him a lot in 1998 season
you will need to add one more highlight to this video!!!!!!!!
Hire Barry for the Rose Bowl
Best thing to ever happen to Badgers
Seriously this was almost 15 years ago that he retired?
poor purdue
:40 Cosby Sweater
All this woo-hoo for otherwise perennial losers and STILL NO NATIONAL CHAMPION. STILL NO BCS Champion.
