In today's video, we talk the TRUTH about why I sold my building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And if I still own the ALDC. You all got to know 'a version' of me on Dance Moms, but before that, things were very different. I helped many young stars get their start long before the TV show came along. I'm so proud of that!!! It's an emotional ride looking back, all of the trials and tribulations I had to overcome.

I started watching Dance Moms right after my daughter was born in 2011. Thank you for sharing these memories with us and thank you for sharing your love of dance! My daughter desperately wants to dance, but she is autistic and it’s challenging for her. She loves watching your dancers to this day. ❤️

A studio in my hometown started an annual program last summer called "Dance Haven" specifically for students with Special Needs. Maybe a studio in your area offers something similar? Or talk to some teachers about private lessons? I hope she gets to keep that love for the arts as she gets older!

I love these kind of videos that give actual facts and not the stuff those producers give us and the nonsense of those dance moms. It all boils down to the students and the teacher. May that chaos in-between never be lived again. 😵💫

I think the fact that the building isn’t being torn down really makes it easier. If I spent all that time in a building I’d at least want it to stay standing if and when I would leave. No matter if I didn’t still own it. At least KNOWING the building is still being used would give me some peace of minf

Man, I definetly miss this Reality Show so much, been watching since the very beginning. It was like my childhood show back as a 7 year old. All the memories you made in that studio will always be remembered.

This breaks my heart growing up, I always dreamed of dancing at the ALDC I knew it probably was never gonna happen, but this show has got me through so much. I was at a bad studio. I was bullied all the time to the point I hated dance I recently started to enjoy it again because of Abby ❤️

abby we are so happy that we got to experience this amazing show with so many memories… happy, funny, and sad memories. you taught people a lesson, but everything comes to an end. think about it. your studio was like a second home to ur dancers! thank you for all those memories. we will forever miss this studio. ❤❤
It is the end of an era that the ALDC in PA is no more, but the memories will last a lifetime and beyond. 💗

I cried through this whole video because I tryed out for dance at that studio but I didn’t make it, even though I didn’t make it it was my second home through the tv and I hope it get taken care of well 😢Hopefully the OG ALDC dancers see this and think to them self “wow this was my second home my life” ❤️

Abby we all love you, it is important that your health is in order and that you are well. I believe that we all wish you a speedy recovery and that you come back later stronger and fitter than ever, whatever happens after this in that building will always be remain known as the ALDC company where Dance Moms was filmed. ❤ this studio was the first thing that inspired me to dance and what made me more into the “outside the show routines” and the “outside the show dancers” I would buy any old aldc routine that I could from the competitions’ videographer companies, sad to see it go, good luck with everything. :)

oh I felt this Abby. I have always seen how much work you put into your studio and dancers. I own a small dance studio in a tiny town in canada but the drama still exists trying to make everyone happy, I took one week off when my youngest son was born, one week off when dad passed, then my borther and mom passed and i just took one week off. Yet people will still complain if you dont give your all and are available 24/7. Im proud of you for overcoming so much and thriving!
I still remember when I was 4 or 5 and I ran across a dance moms video. And from there I couldn't stop watching it! That building literally made history!!

I used to watch your show with my daughter. She loved every minute of it. I'm a stage director and because of your show I was able to direct my first musical and truly understand what our choreographers where shooting for, as well as the difference between directing actors and directing dancers. Abby, I would have to say that your parents would approve of this decision if they knew the circumstances you are in now. They would want you to be safe, comfortable and do what you love. Your mom saying she would dance off her woes says it all. Just find your place now and dance off your woes in your own way. Most of all do what will make life easier as you navigate life in a chair. Being in a town that’s more accessible is most essential to basic comforts for you. I have some disability also and know the hills and stairs and activities that are restricted and keep you out of activities is maddening. Your building served its purpose which was bringing your parents’ dream to fruition. You did your best and the industry kinda ate you up as much as it does for many. You aren’t perfect like every human but I saw that you poured your energy and heart into the success of the studio’s brand which essentially stood for your love of your parents. Now you can relax and chill and enjoy life even if it’s chair ice skating and shopping home goods. I’d be down for that with you. Lol. You look great and are doing a good job of trying to make a quality life for yourself and blasting into the future of your life. I hope your memories will stay with you in joy and you can move forwards with courage and strength knowing your mom and dad loved you and put their faith into you. Big hugs for the end of one long chapter and cheering you into your new season of life.

Ohh, Abby, I am listening to your story, and my heart goes out to you. I have a similar situation with my mom's condo. I asked people please take it in the future. I am at the part where the bus man will have a daycare there. I feel hopeful. You and your studio are legendary, Abby. Bittersweetness abounds. :( :) ❤️

I’m just happy that little kids that were once my age get to live my dream but In such a different way and they won’t really ever know,,, I’m happy to eventually just drive by the building. It has been my dream since Dance moms started to be on that floor, I hated the LA building just because it wasn’t Pittsburgh ALDC,,, I can’t wait though for the new beginnings and I hope that even though it may not be a dance floor, but I hope you get to walk the floors of your family’s history and legacy. I love and believe in you Ms. Miller ❤️

Sometime in the future, someone is gonna win a Tony for playing you when they eventually turn your story/ the show into a Broadway musical.
