- The Uffington White horse is by far the oldest of the White Horses that adorn many hillsides across the United Kingdom. Obviously a landmark that has been around as long as this one has some stories around it. I delve into these on this video.

Glad you gave a shout-out to Wayland's Smithy 🥳 there's also a Roman temple further down the Ridge Way to the east, which may have once been a Celtic temple, and the area has long been recognised as a location of horse-breeders (there's gallops everywhere), so self-fulfilling prophecy or signpost? Really good folklore video! Keeping it alive 😄
I was gutted I didn't make it to Wayland's Smithy. Truth be told I visited on my way back from visiting a friend the night before, so I was a touch hungover. I do want to go back and do some more walking around the area so I'll add the temple to the list. Thanks for the heads up!

But its not a 'horse' is it. If you join the dots, as it were, it is the constellation of Leo, plus or minor a few stars.
