Iâve watched a lot of reactors watch AOT on CZcams but this is the first time I really felt like I was watching along with the reactor. It was great seeing you get genuinely emotional with it too. Itâs been a long time since Iâve seen the first episode in full and itâs easy to forget with all that comes later just how intense this introduction to the world of AOT is. Iâll definitely be following along if you make this a full series.

When you said your wife's name is Carla I immediately went "Oh shit." đđGreat reaction though! The tone shift is so unexpected on your first watch. The story and the way it all unveils is one of the best pieces of storytelling I've ever watched. Personally I prefer subs, especially with the seiyuu (Japanese voice actors) in this show.

i just noticed that armin was already able to read people, use it for his own needs by using it against the opponent, basically manipulating them, since always. his first words in the show already showed it. armin is a well written character.

@@peexel I mean when you watch them all at once without knowing anything about what the show is about, it's not really possible to hold onto any spoilery material unless you have the best memory ever. If you only watch the opening for the part that you're on, that's not really spoilers because it's there because the creators of the show WANT you to know about it, and you can't really decipher most of it anyway until after the moment passed in the show that shows it. For example, the scene in the first opening with them all firing the guns, would you have absolutely any clue what was happening there before you got to that scene? Then things like showing Annie in the 7th opening are there because they want to hype you up, "We're getting Annie back?!?! Awesome!" I remember how hyped I was when I saw that and it really would not have had the same effect if I had waited until after the season to watch that opening.
and here we go again... I have watched Attack on Titan over 10 times (all seasons) and I will gladly watch it with you again. Really looking forwoard to your journey and your reactions :)

17:08 that there is a transition to a commercial break and a return from it. The first card plays before they go to commercials and the second when they return from it. Obviously, there wouldn't be any while watching online, but on a tv broadcast it would be in between the cards :)
Reading them is not necessary for enjoying the show, but they provide good world information so you can better understand the setting.

Aot has one of the best dub in anime, but sub is better tho no matter what anime(except comedy anime, those dubs are wild)

Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) is quite unique even in the anime community. Having this as your first introduction to anime can be a little overwhelming, but I wouldn't base all anime shows off of this. This show was a massive game changer for anime and one of the most well-written stories I've ever encountered. I would recommend continuing this show and if you have any cultural questions, feel free to ask. Wasn't expecting this reaction, but thanks for checking it out with an open mind. I found this show by accident. I had a habit of putting on an anime, to go to sleep to. This one woke me up and I binged for a few hours and went to work completely tired. Worth it.
Whether or not you decide to show your reactions, I do recommend finishing it. Unlike most shows which tend to drag and fizzle, this one gets progressively better and more intense.

I suggest that you should keep watching it in English subs. The Japanese voice acting is phenomenal in this show. Also, try to pay utmost attention to everything because in Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), every small detail matters as the story is very intricate.
Edit: I am new to your channel and I like how you react. To me, this is how reactions are meant to be. Don't worry about staying silent while watching the show and trying to understand things because that makes it authentic in my eyes. Facial expressions talk much more than words.

This is how I got hooked on AOT, even though the horror genre is not my thing. The story, animation, and intense feeling of being glued to the screen keeps me coming back for more of this anime.
The #1 anime I always recommend to people who have never watched anime, is Death Note. It's a great transition from normal tv shows to anime, because it almost feels like a normal tv show!
It hooks you in literally 5 minutes, and after the first episode you think you know how hype it is, but the second episodes goes even higher!

you might never read this man.. but for me (or alot of other people), this might be the best storytelling not just anime but show in general ive ever seen. the writing is spectacular. i want another author to give me this kind of mindblowing storytelling. But im just reliving this feeling by rewatching aot reactions like yours because there are barely any other show that highly impressed my with their high IQ writing. just continue watching this. i assure you, there will be no disappointments. (except maybe the ending which i dont know yet but coming out next year)

As everyone says, I would recommend "Attack on Titan" and "Demon Slayer" for your first anime.
And I hope you will continue to watch them with subtitles instead of dubbing.
The Japanese voice acting is just as great as the musical.
Bruh demon slayer is such a mid show. Itâs way overrated due to hype. The animation is incredible but thatâs really it. Demon slayer is only popular because Ufotable animated it. The story is basic, generic and horribly paced, and the characters are mostly either boring, annoying as hell or the definition of mid. The only exception is Muzan which is really the only good part of the anime narratively. But he doesnât really get shown enough to make the anime entertaining. Itâs a good idea to shroud the antagonist is mystery but showing him like 2 times in 1 season is taking it too far.

Now that I'm finished watching, your reaction is honestly most peoples reaction. No one can believe what they just watched lol. It's such a powerful intro to the AOT universe. I love that the creator and animators don't shy away from the brutality of the world in this story.
Anime in general is as good/better than most tv shows tbh. And yes, stick with subs for sure, in dubs the message and the meaning of certain things tends to be skewed.

this is a masterpiece, but:
1. make sure to pay attention to the details cause this show never does anything for no reason. 2. be careful cause unfortunately the fandom is a bit toxic on CZcams and spoil it for no reason. 3. keep watching it in Japanese with English subs, cause the voice actors/actresses are amazing. 4. if you can, yes stop the video and read the cards that comes in the middle of the episodes(I'm not sure what they're called), cause they give you more information about the AoT world.

You should also check out Code Geass or Guilty Crown. Both have greatly written story lines, not to mention the music and animation are top notch.
This got me to subscribe. I love seeing someone's eyes get opened to what anime has to offer! I have a "big boy" house and kids but still have a shelf dedicated to anime and try to show my daughters as much as I can (age-appropriate of course).
