Awww, reminds me of when we were growing up, making palm nut soup the exact same way. It was a lot of work! That's why if someone cooks fufu and palmnut soup for you, you have to really thank them and show your appreciation.

Togo brother here! You took me 20 some years back. The process of making fire with charcoal and hearing the cracking noise of the fire while you were fanning it, just brought some good memory. Thank you.
Exactly my mummy's way but I learnt smth new today, pounding ginger and onions before adding the palm fruits, thank you sweet!! And shout out to all the sweetitins team😂❤
This is so interesting to watch. I never saw Palm Nuts, and I watched how you made Palm Oil. I really enjoyed watching this Video. Always learning something new.
This is how I cook and love how you wash everything until you are satisfied. People laugh at me when I tell them I wash rice 7 times before cooking. Your soup could be preserved in jars if there is any left over. It has all the healthy components a good meal needs. I really like how you drained the fat off. Thank you.
Those palm trees grow all over my neighborhood in Los Angeles. My neighbors and the city pay people to cut the fruit bunches and throw them away. We must throw away 20 plus bunches every year. Never knew you could cook them. I have the same dress as your sister by the way 😊 It suits her better than it does me. 😂
Pls save the video and make soups like this. There are other soups like this from Nigeria, banga soup from Delta state and abak soup from akwa Ibon state. You can use your hands to massage the palm fruits after boiled very soft and cooled considerably. Massage while still warm and filter to get the 'juice' like she did. Not everyone has that mortar in the US homes😂. Google the other soups, get the ingredients in African shops and you good to go. Enjoy! This is the goodness of the motherland....
@@maamegail3189I was married to a Liberian for twenty years and when I watch you cook it makes my mouth water. My son tells me when he comes home, he wants some Palm butter soup and fufu but his will not be made from scratch 😂. Thanks for all you do ❤.

Well done... But please next time don't miss our okra n kako Wai... 😂It's a great feeling with these combo
My husband doesn’t eat okra oo 😊
Change the mortar (waduro) the cracks will harbor bacteria
Yes it would be changed, we were even discussing that in the video 😊❤
Eshwe kaa hu.
Light off or it was intentional to put in the work of grinding? Love it anyway 😊
It was intentional, making it the traditional way 😊
Just like home... my only issue is all that pepper!
Me too, here East Africa eating much pepper you will be told " you eat much pepper like Indian"😂😂
😁it looks like a lot but this pepper isn’t as hot as habanero or scotch bonnet ❤

Please what is the main purpose of pounding the onion and ginger along side with the palm nuts.
Please, leave some for me. Where are you now?
I’m still home waiting for you oo 😁❤️✌🏽
Thank you for you work Sweety A. Now I am from your friend meat pie recipe. I realized you didn't poke it with a fork. Why so?. Will it not burst in the oil. Please advise me. Thank you
I don’t to prevent oil from getting in, It usually doesn’t but you may if you wish my ❤😊
I burnt my self one time and blames it on not poking.
Looks like I need more practice.
Thank you so much

Nice meal but too much pepper. The Ghanaian intestines or digestive tract is surely different, to be able to adapt to all the 🔥 from the pepper.
😁 This pepper isn’t as hot as habanero or scotch bonnet, trust me, it was just right 😊❤
Sweet Adjeley please am I invited?
Always and forever ❤
Same way I cook my palm nut soup, but you didn't add okro and garden eggs
My husband doesn’t eat okra please ❤😊
