This was one of the hardest routines they had at mas lalong mukhang mahirap dahil parang madulas yung costume nila. This was when they went short because they lacked in dancing pero sweet revenge yung next year kasi ginandahan talaga nila yung dance routine. I've always been a fan of UP, but the way they celebrated every NU's falls and mistakes is intolerable, only goes to show how prideful and heartless most of their students are.

Let's be honest if NU's routine is as smooth and as clean as Adamson's surely it will be an another yr for them. But it is not! ... but hey!!! it doesnt dims the fact that NU has the most creative and daring stunts ever. They raised the bar to this collegiate cheerdance competition. I still remember their latin american themed routine for how it took my breath away and definitely the best routine ever performed in cdc, i mean ever! Btw proud thomasian here!!! Atleast consistent. :)
NU has the best cheerleading recruitment system in the country with college scholarship to athletes, dietician to monitor food intake and training from international coaches yet all those things did not deliver this time. Their loss this year was a disappointment, no sugarcoating that one. The expectations was sky high but I guess the team didn't deliver. However, even the best world cheer teams like University of Kentucky or University of Alabama (UCA), Top Gun or Cheer Athletics (USASF) and indestructible Team USA (WCC), all the winningest cheer teams in US history had years where they didn't win the championship. Yes, those teams didn't compete in cheerdance but they're the best in their fields and yet there were times they failed. So, expectations are high for next year. The team and fans will move on. Wow us again, NU! #UAAPCDC2017
Kung nagawa man nila yung cheeleading part, but unfortunately, mahina pa rin sila sa dance. The last part was below average, dinaan lang sa props. Super creative nito, kaso sa dance part nga, lamang pa rin to me ang FEU and even sometimes, UST and UP.
lahat ng nag diwang everytime may errors ang NU on this performance nganga kayo ngayon. deserve nyo yan, hanggang 2nd place and third place na lang kayo at never mag chachampion as long as may NU. never forget this season, kung pano pinagtulungan, pinagtawanan sa bawat pagkakamali ang totoong malakas at magaling.

yah i know, but wouldnt it be nice if we just cheer for our own school rather than celebrating the mistakes of other competing universities? para lahat happy, healthy competition kumbaga. because in the end, it is the trophies that will make us look great but rather our attitude towards winning

Its nice to see that they can do unassisted handstand and rewind already. I do hope they will join ICU Coed Premier next year. That will be much more exciting than UAAP.

UST ako but if they perfected this. ang Layu talaga sana ng lamang nila.. maybe di pa talaga kaya natin yung mabibilis na transition like american cheerdances, kasi di pa masiyado maexecute.. but kudos for NU for trying..

They try to get as many people as possible to do those specific skills in each area, like stunts, tumbling, pyramids, tosses etc. Having enough people on a team performing the right number of level appropriate skills will determine if that team scores in a low, medium, high, or max range of scores for that element. Therefore, before competition day happens, coaches will know the range they expect to see their scores hit for each element like stunts, pyramids, tumbling, tosses etc.

All i can say is that "Cheerdancing is not always a flexibility, dance in cheerdance is not always a cartwheel tumblings, split. Cheerdancing is that, you stand there and make routine to dance gracefully.
I’m not a student from National University as a matter of fact, I’m a fan of them from Mindanao. In my opinion, this was the beautiful and scintillating theme the NU have done in every season of the UAAP. Under The Sea is a good choice. To bad they have committed errors and they failed at the finale dance. If only the NU PEP SQUAD have performed perfectly (like what I have watched in the video during their dress rehearsal), no doubt the victory would be served to them. Looking forward for the NU performance this year. Always rooting for this University since 2012.
Looking back at this performance I think they still deserved to be in the podium, but they still can’t beat everyone’s love for Adamson that night, in my opinion NU focused so much on skills and pleasing the judges, they almost forgot the crowd was there too, hence they were viewed then as cocky or the “villain” because the rest of the schools still can’t accept the fact that NU swept them off their feet in cheerleading.
For scoring difficulty ranges, judges are looking at how many of those skills a team can do in relation to how many people are actually on the team. So bigger teams have to have more stunts in the air or more tumbling skills. That allows teams with smaller numbers to compete against teams with larger numbers. Most elements in Cheer category like stunts, pyramids, tumblings and tosses have a "difficulty score, which is the “range” I talked about. It answers the question of “How hard are the skills in the routine and what percentage of people on the team can do them?”Many of the elements also have a technique score, which answers the question of “How well did the team perform these skills according to technique we know to be good?” Things like were stunts solid, feet together on tumbling, toes pointed, etc. Some elements also allow for a creativity score which answers the question of “How memorable was the skill or overall section of the routine? How entertaining was it?”
Things that were missing for this year's judging. Even though few of them are ICU (Level 1 and 2) accredited, but I still prefer yung mga dati nilang ininvite na judge, especially yung mga foreign. This year's judges were not detailed, they're more after the visuals and cleanliness.
Jack Son Sadly, yes. But I think this should be a wake up call to UAAP/NCC. Ilang years ng ini-standardize yung criteria, pero hanggang ngayon ang gulo parin. If last year medyo umu-okay na, this year sobrang gulo ulit. This is far the most nerve-racking.

Even they failed to defend the crown or to place 1st or 2nd runner up, they still didnt fail us to give us another wow and shocking routine, in which it is originally made, compared to others who seemed to copy other’s routine! We still believe that the NU bulldogs will retrieve and bring back the crown! Go Bulldogs!

I love their routine nakita ko ung final practice nila and it was wow wow wow! Im not a fan but I can say they really good. Un nga lang baka kinabahan kaya d na execute ng maayos nung performace na. But still a good job to every1!
I just feel like sinadyang ibaba ang points nila sa dance kasi kung tutuuusin, they still had the best dance routine. Malinis, swabe sa mata. Kasi kung hindi ginawa yun siguradong panalo na naman sila if not pasok to sa top 3.

Looking back at this performance I think they still deserved to be in the podium, but they still can’t beat everyone’s love for Adamson that night, in my opinion NU focused so much on skills and pleasing the judges, they almost forgot the crowd was there too, hence they were viewed then as cocky or the “villain” because the rest of the schools still can’t accept the fact that NU swept them off their feet in cheerleading.

For scoring difficulty ranges, judges are looking at how many of those skills a team can do in relation to how many people are actually on the team. So bigger teams have to have more stunts in the air or more tumbling skills. That allows teams with smaller numbers to compete against teams with larger numbers. Most elements in Cheer category like stunts, pyramids, tumblings and tosses have a "difficulty score, which is the “range” I talked about. It answers the question of “How hard are the skills in the routine and what percentage of people on the team can do them?”Many of the elements also have a technique score, which answers the question of “How well did the team perform these skills according to technique we know to be good?” Things like were stunts solid, feet together on tumbling, toes pointed, etc. Some elements also allow for a creativity score which answers the question of “How memorable was the skill or overall section of the routine? How entertaining was it?”
Things that were missing for this year's judging. Even though few of them are ICU (Level 1 and 2) accredited, but I still prefer yung mga dati nilang ininvite na judge, especially yung mga foreign. This year's judges were not detailed, they're more after the visuals and cleanliness.

Jack Son Sadly, yes. But I think this should be a wake up call to UAAP/NCC. Ilang years ng ini-standardize yung criteria, pero hanggang ngayon ang gulo parin. If last year medyo umu-okay na, this year sobrang gulo ulit. This is far the most nerve-racking.

Even they failed to defend the crown or to place 1st or 2nd runner up, they still didnt fail us to give us another wow and shocking routine, in which it is originally made, compared to others who seemed to copy other’s routine! We still believe that the NU bulldogs will retrieve and bring back the crown! Go Bulldogs!

Jeremy Torres - Yes, that's exactly what they wanted to get rid of. Let's be honest. Bawasan mo man ng deductions yung score ng NU kung hindi lang sana ganun ang score nila sa dance, sure win. Pero alam ko namang babawi sila. Not to prove themselves but to show that their mistakes this year will make them better next year.
No, panoorin niyo yung dance sa dulo, sobrang walang bearing. Walang difficulty, kahit hindi dancer kayang gawin yung dance part nila sa dulo. Sayang, sana minaximize nila yun. Dance ang humatak sa kanila.
Hindi nila tinaasan ang difficulty ng final dance dahil sa gigantic props nila. Ikaw ba namang magsayaw habang may suot na ganoon hahaha pero sayang
