Awesome diorama and excellent builds! I think one thing that may keep people from trying this method is the cost of a kit. They don't want to mess up a $30 model. I started it by doing older used and abused models. Or ones I really screwed up😅. Those are some of my favorite builds. I think you nailed it when you said There is really no right or wrong way to do it.
The prices are ridiculous really. I wait till flea markets, model swaps or I buy people out. Hobby lobby at 40% off is awesome too. Olives every now and then.
@Sparkysmodelsalvage we have a HL but no Olyies! I never buy a model at HL if it's not 40% off. Michael's has decent online coupons that you can apply to models.
New sub I'm just starting to learn an experiment with weathering my first kit. Thanks for doing these! Keep em coming.
What kind of jeep you got? I see it in your pic. I got a built LJ.
No jeep.. in my pic?
Oh ok. I'm looking at it on my phone. Super small. Lol
Cool models.
I'm a rust bucket modeler, i prefer the old rust buckets because they tell a story, and yeah glossy shiny paint work is nice but its a bit stressful for me...i have a group buuld called RUST BUCKETS and its all about weathered model cars..its a fun gb..not sure if you seen some of my builds most of them are rust buckets.
And your right, theres no right or wrong when you weather a model.
If this is on fb then message me on there and I'll check it out. Thanks
