The song draws inspiration from Luke 19: 39 - 40. In this verse Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey and the people around him shouted praises and hosannas to the Messiah.
However, some of the Pharisees in the crowd objected to the praises, and asked the Son of Man to rebuke his followers.
Jesus responded by saying, "I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out".
The statement is symbolic that even if his followers were to stay silent, the very stones themselves would bear witness to his greatness. That even if human beings fail to acknowledge the truth of Jesus Christ, the natural world will continue to bear witness to the greatness of God.
And so Diana Wendy in this song refuses to allow the stones to worship the Lord, but she will praise God instead.
