Joe was always disrespectful and verbally abusive. Then committed crimes and had his wife sign off on things instead of protecting her and the family. Sometimes it is a blessing in disguise no matter how painful. Teresa can live out her life happily and independently. The girls can see her this way and know it is okay to walk away from a bad relationship.
OMG.....very naive to think Teresa didn't know anything about the criminal activity that was goin on in that family. Come on, she knew!! She may not of instigated it bit she knew. It was impossible for her not to have.

Her sentence was not as harsh as her husband's , if they were equally involved in most cases, or simular sentences. Instead she served less time. My opinion ,it was taken in Consideration of her not intentionally conspiring to be fraudulent when she was giving her sentence . Thanks for your input
