- This is round 3! The Traxxas Xmaxx and the new Redcat Vigilante in the ring at one of the best skateparks to crunch things up! This bash was not held back by any means and some of these crashes are gut wrenching! if you wanted to see the Redcat Vigilante pushed to its limit, then this is the true video for you!
Just in case there are any new rc buyers watching…..a stock Xmaxx would break right away….this xmaxx is far from stock….it has HD arms, different hubs, chassis, modifications, different servo, or at least the gears inside …different speed control, different spur gear and pinion gear…. front and rear aluminum diff covers…captured hing pins….modified center drive shaft…tires/rims….and I’m sure the servo saver is modified as well…..with the right adjustments they are tough as you can see
There's just something awesome about that xmaxx thunder, this video showed the true strength of the xmaxx.

Nice Video but I bet those front and rear bulkheads are shot , I'm convinced tho the Redcat Vigilante will hold up to most styles of bashing .

Nice job to thunder RC for reviewing both of these monsters Rc. Also nice job to red cat but I feel like the Xmax is still remain the king. The drive train on the red cat and the sounds of it is unpleasant to ears compared to the X maxx it is way smoother and less sounds like it’s about to explode.
Yup, you must have seen my xmaxx videos with no middle brace, all stock with sledgehammer tires, and been rocking that since last winter, more flexibility, in my opinion. I might have to do that to my ultimate. Keep snapping bulkheads lately and shock towers, time to quit having it looking pretty and go back to what I know works 😆

That xmaxx takes some serious hammer.
Good to see the Redcat getting a work out, this was obviously a fairly extreme hit to take the arm out but have seen a vid of one breaking far easier so would be good to see some aftermarket arms. Nothing else appears to break on them though so could be a great basher truck with that done.
Real shame to beat that nice shell up though. The xmaxx don't matter cos it's just a generic modern blob of a truck like thing. 😂

I recently got an X-maxx and have a blast everytime and the best part for me is it doesnt break after every run like some other RC vehicles ive had.
this is one of my favorite videos, really shows how good an xmaxx is if you do the simplest correct upgrades. i love my xmaxx, it literally goes with me everywhere i go. i wont tell you exactly how mine is setup, but i barely have to fix it ever! 😎🥰 great video thunder

I had to watch this again. I am super impressed with the red cat. It is a tough beast and it jumps normal drums really really really nice flat controllable. Also like the way you explain stuff so the audience can key in on that. Your videos are getting better and better you keep topping yourself. And you got a killer film crew😂.

I’d like to show you my off road limitless…. Thing has been straight ran over, full sent into a curb which sent it into a boulder then into a brick wall and didn’t even bend anything and it outlasted my friends xmaxx twice.
This is the third or forth version of the Xmaxx. By now it should be good.

The slow motions tell it all X MAXX the most durable six scale out there. I know they called a fifth scale but everybody knows RC it’s more like a 1/6.🔥🔥🔥💯😊👍🏼💪🏻
After a few videos, I still like the redcat more. It drives sick, and is plenty tough for most bashers. Checked the website and parts are pretty cheap too! Also, in a box stock comparison I think it would be close. Thunder has that xmaxx dialed in with specific parts that the Redcat doesnt have available to it yet, redcat W

The redcat needs some shock love for bashing like this, maybe some variable dampening valves on the shock pistons. It is a goddamn beast though, my god. Think that arm woulda survived if not for the fractured skid
The Redcat did awesome! Xmaxx came out in 2015 so it has had almost 9 years of R&D behind it. Vigilante has about a month since its release. Xmaxx is an excellent truck and is currently king but it may not be as redcat refines the Vigilante. Competition drives inovation so who knows what we will see. I am happy with my redcat purchase.

I like your content you sky these RC's harder than anyone I've seen .having that said I'm an ARRMA guy and I've been beating the life outa ..I should say trying to beat the life outa my orange 2019 6s outcast I have yet to break it ..only a couple cracks in the body. I'd put my outcast up against anything .anyway keep up the good work .

I'm gonna put an electric motor and wheels on a beach ball and sell the toughest rc in the world. The Xmaxx is extremely tough because it's extremely flexible. It's extremely bad at everything else for the same reason. I have one so i don't think I can be a hater. It's great for this kind of stuff but it's also taped together to keep it from flying apart every time it lands and crashes. That's rarely mentioned. I spend a much time retrieving the self ejecting body and putting it back on as i do driving it. There's a time and place for body clips and bashing is that.

Looks do play a part when deciding to buy an RC Truck. I’d still have the Redcat over the Xmaxx as to me it looks nicer and is still pretty tough.
