Man working at a nursing home has taught me to enjoy life and push hard to your goals. Because the way some of these residents get treated is not right…so I’ll rather pass with family by my side and not suddenly at a home. but working for a funeral home or mortician shows you that eventually you will go through the same process that yourself was prepping for others… and live life to fullest and never take anything for granted… I salute you my brother

I did my mother's funeral makeup and it is definitely different than a live person...for example, on a living person, foundation, creams melt into skin easily and with a cold stiff body, it is not the case...also , when ppl die, their color changes so color correction is important

Setting the looks on a dead body in preparation for a funeral is hard work, but somebody has to do it. IDK if you could call it thankless, but you can rely on the gratitude of their loved ones to give their deceased beloved a solemn farewell. More power, dude; keep up the stellar work. Me and my little brother cut our farther hair we planned it and both did it together! It was hard but we got through it with gods grace and giving us the strength!

The dead will sleep until the great day of the Lord at the end of the world. In death humans are totally unconscious with no activity or knowledge of any kind.
This is an incredibly beautiful job! Not for everyone for sure, but I’ve known amazingly professional people whose training and talents in the field make them give a bit of peace to the relatives of the deceased, when they’re able to give the face of the deceased a peaceful result, it helps tremendously in the closure process. Don’t get me wrong: the pain and the huge sense of emptiness will always be there, but at least during the viewing brief hours, you will be able to spend the last moments with your loved one while this one looks like resting peacefully! I’ve experienced 42 direct family losses within the past 24 months (0 to Covid-19) mostly terminal decease and suicide, and I feel like a professional mourner unfortunately!
I remember i was on the bus going home from school and we got in traffic and there was a funeral taking place at a graveyard next to us, and out of nowhere the little kids start screaming stuff and saying L bozo and stuff like that. It was very disrespectful and rude. I felt very bad after then and just wanted to forgive them😢
