2nd Gen just hits different. It's weird because variety seemed so restricted back then but looking now they were really able to develop their own personalities compared to the 4th Gen which seems bound to generic stereotypes. Kara also has the same energy with their latest cb. Hope we see them return more frequently.
As someone who got into Kpop 3rd gen I can't wait to see the top 3rd gen groups completely break out of their bubble and just be themselves 100% like SNSD does

I really enjoyed KARA's comeback as well! Really great at variety shows too! 3rd and 4th gen nowadays are more about their own youtube channels now so different era.
For real. I like 3rd gen because even they are way more open but 2nd and 4th gen are something different... Not different but complete opposites lol. 2nd gen was extremely fun and eventho i wasn't a fan back then, just watching performaces and/or funny videos, you can tell how open they are with other groups. They were really just having fun eventho the standards back then were kinda trash (overworking, mistreatment, etc). Now, idols from different companies cant even look at each other before people start creating rumors and drama.
The comments here are basically confined to just girl groups. I like groups from both GG and BG and my point of view is much different. There are many fourth gen groups with high potential and groups like Ateez don’t fit into stereotypes.

They are every girls group dream. Each of them are every girls idol inspiration of who they wanna be in a girls group. As long as snsd still exist in the kpop world, they will always be the top legendary regardless of how succesful many girls group today can be.
No one can really emulate SNSD. Also some girl group members got into Kpop because they were boygroup stans. Ryujin from Itzy and Yunjin from Le Serafim are examples.

Whenever I'm sad, i watch SNSD videos, they make me smile. I found about the group back in 2014 when I was in a really bad depression, saw their videos and their silliness made me smile and helped me to get better.
Its so nice and refreshing to see a kpop funny moments video that isnt filled with excessive amounts of random sound effects or anything else unnecessary. The video is funny because snsd is funny and the editor did a good job making it a nice smooth watching experience and its not trying to forcefully showcase the editors sense of humour and ultimately making the video less about the group I came to watch
