Ok so just FYI I worked at Whataburger for like 4 years and there's no syrup in the tea at all what we do is we brew up scalding hot tea (I'm not sure on the volume of it but I'd guess like 5 gallons or so) and then we literally stir in a POUND of sugar.

You don't see two pizza joints in the food court. Also, poor guys, that shock over the iced tea, haha! I always order half sweet tea/half lemonade for that reason. It seems to be a regional thing, any tea made below a certain US latitude seems to require you go into diabetic shock.

We have them in my city and they’re a nuisance: they're dangerous to people walking when driving on the sidewalk, they're dangerous to themselves when driving on the road, and the fact that they're hop on, hop off means that people will literally stop driving and leave them in the middle of the sidewalk without parking them out of the way.

@@aznneozanet Most fountain machines come with ice dispensers. The tea isn't inherently cold, but most liquids aren't just stored at room temperature. All Iced Tea is is just tea but cold, most often by adding ice to it. All tea is is leaf juice, being hot is just the more universal method of preparing it.

Plenty of ice tea has actual ice and isn't just cold. Sweet Tea has sugar and/or other additives in it, usually lemons.
