My son has found a transcript of the Gettysburg address on a metal or aluminum with the facimial and has corrections and his signature and dated 1863. I just want an authenticity. Can anyone help me.
I love Gettysburg. Only live two hours away. Have been going since I was a kid. I remember the old visitor's center and similar buildings. I have been to many other Civil War battlefields as well. My biggest complaint with Gettysburg is the movie they play at the museum; "New Birth of Freedom." It is a good film, but does nothing to capture the battle itself. It goes on to discuss the problems we were having in the country at that time. I feel you should be watching 30 minutes of the events of the battle itself. Antietam, Fredericksburg, and Petersburg all focus on the battle. Gettysburg likes to pull that liberal slander on it brought to you by Morgan Freeman and I don't care for it. Otherwise, enjoy all of Gettysburg.
No rational basis for placing a slur on Morgan Freeman's name. The determination of the tone and content of the film was not a decision made by Mr. Freeman. Despite your biased statement, he is a patriot and an honorable man. Remember that.
They're educating the next generation and I'm sure most of the money goes to museum maintenance and paying workers. They're providing a public service, from my point of view.
I saw the movie Gettysburg 1993 make me cry 😭😭😭 god bless America thanks for our freedom
I hate how this isn’t viral today.
We have sadly forgotten where we have come from…..

They were earning money from the battlefield, where the heroes died and laid, it is like Disney land, from my point of view.
