Watch the University of La Verne Choir as they perform "12 Days of UAD" UAD Holiday Sale - www.uaudio.com/uad-plugins/on... sites.laverne.edu/music/ / ulvchoir
UAD plugins are great, but as I work solely on a laptop and travel a lot (I probably write / mix 80% of my work whilst travelling and out of the studio), I cannot experiment with these plugins whilst I'm travelling as you need to be connected to the hardware to process the software. I think this is a fundamental flaw as it's useless to me (and many others that work in a similar way to me of which the number will greatly increase as more powerful laptops enable more producers to leave the studio) as once I've recorded vocals / other instruments in the studio using the Apollo, as soon as I pack up and leave I can't take the UAD plugins with me, and it's often away from the studio where I have my moments of creativity. I can't take my Apollo and set it up on a train or a plane just to use the plugins, so essentially Universal Audio are chaining people to the studio, which I think is incredibly stifling. There must be a better way to do this, especially when people are paying up to £1200 for the desktop variant of the Apollo. UA claim that it's because the Apollo is powerful and can run the plugins, but as I and many others have for example; a 2017 15" Macbook Pro at it's highest configuration, running a few if not many plugins is not a problem.
because UA don`t need all that "marketing" effort to make people buy...it sounds like they want to convince you by a stupid repetition, not by the product/offer quality itself;
I keep coming back to this version of 12 days every year around Christmas . Brilliant

I'm guessing most of those people don't know what they're singing about xD
Still awesome though :D

very bad taste campaign, but amazing products
Why is it bad taste?
