My daughter is 29, and when she was 18 or somethingg she said "I can't even remember the last time you carried me to bed after falling asleep in the sofa" so I did, one last time, even though she was a full grown person by then.
Now she hs a clear memory of the last time I carried her to bed.

Welcome to parenthood. I use to get sick all the time with my two in daycare and school. The worse was Pinkeye, it didn't affect them bad, but I looked like a boxer after a fight. Good luck!

RE illnesses from nursery - same with us! My 17 month old has been in nursery since July and having back to back illnesses from September until now 🥴 I was reccomend to take daily probiotics to help immune system (can get baby ones too)!
