I really don't understand this bit! (starting at 6:28) If sniffing closes the smelling olfactory region why would we do this when we smell a rose? Wouldn't closing it mean we would smell it less? I feel like I can sniff with the olfactory part open or closed. It feels like it closes if I sniff whilst frowning (bringing my eyebrows down and together), but it feels open if I sniff whilst raising my eyebrows. Should we do either of these or neither of these please?
