- Geoff Carter takes you on a walk about down soi 7 & 8 in Pattaya Thailand. Great couple of sois, In soi 7 & soi 8 there lots of bars with lots of Thai ladies, and fun to be had by everyone. Well worth a visit, and they have happy hours also at tea time, where you can get bottles of beer starting at 45 Thai baht. there are lots of Thai street vendors throughout the day & night, and even into the early hours of the morning.

Oh Geoff, If you only new! Soi 7 and Soi 8 years ago when it was literally "Heaven On Earth"! I cry now when watching whatch vhat they did to it. Another great video of empty beer bars and not a pretty girl to been seen! Pattaya has turned into a place where alcoholics go to die. With no woman around, thats what the men do. They sit around holding there beer thinking. what happened to Pattaya? It's a complete 180, from what I fell in love with 15 years ago!

so many fond memories. first visit in 2004 stayed Eastiny Place. Later visits Flipper Lodge and Flipper Hotel. All different months of the year. So loved walking around
I stayed at the Pig & Whistle ages ago........Great memories.

The Pig and Whistle was a great go to place. My buddy was good friends with the big man Graham, one of the original owners. My first Full English Breakfast there. Good fish and chips when they used to use Cod.
Stayed in the flipper house in 2010, brilliant times i had during the worldcup 2010. Thanks for the memorylane!

just chat with my gf there and she say the same thing.People may hate the russian but they spend money there also.Who else is going to buy all these fake phones and clothes.I also think the sex tourist has had enough of pattaya and it bullshit.You can see each year less people are going there.Cambodia and laos are alot cheaper.I think in a few year you see soi 7 and 8 be nothing more then condos.
Watching these videos reminds me of how good it use to be..... it’s changed so much now

Rosie o gradys did us a lovely shepherds pie. I remember playing pool for a few hours and kept ordering it over and over whilst playing. Pig & whistle was alright too!

Its fantastic there 1200 barht per night its the best place ever there is a massage place next door i go there every day for a message.
Can you do a video on good places to stay as that would be very handy for people please Geoff.

Fantastic vid . Have to say a Pig and Whistle farmhouse breakfast aint cheap but is to die for. Love Sailor bar for a few early ones as its proper bar staff as opposed to giggly girls. Always time for the girlie's later on

There are tons of places now doing scooters from 150 baht a day, 1000 for the week. They are everywhere now.

Usually stay in Soi buakhao and start my evening at those bars in the cut through to second rd at 6pm and return past them at 6am : )

The street food is always clean and fresh. Never got crook off it. Its cheap and huge variety about every 20 metres. Pattaya so easy to get fed.
Was there last year for a few days, but missed a lot of the place. So thanks for the vid. Love the accent, btw! Absolutely delightful place, mate. Will be back again. Cheers!

I've eaten just about everywhere on soi 7. I tend to stay at the flipper house or down at one of the guesthouse's, 69ers to be exact. Pig and Whistle is great for a full English breakfast, a bit pricey but good (I call it the hang over special lol). Tequila reef Cantina has really good Mexican food if you are looking for it ( I'm there for the tacos and pitchers of daiquiris mainly). But the cheapest place to eat is either the donar kabobs, the food area in front of 7-11 (love the fact I can eat well for under 5 usd) and there is a small spot between soi 7 and 8, that's about 10-15 steps on your left that's good. Still need to eat at Sailor bar. I'm usually there just drinking.
I'm off to Thailand in July! I'm Doing a 9 day Thai intro with gap360, then a week in pattaya and a week in Bangkok.
50 baht for a bevvie will be paying a visit to a couple of those bars this afternoon

Great. It keeps me going till I get there in January. Took your advice on not staying at Mr P's bar heehee and found one place called the Siam. Sois 7 and 8 look quieter than 6. I am getting more and more excited too. Looks as though loads of us will be there in Jan and who knows... small world, you get talking to someone in a bar and we find we both watch Geoff. I shall be heading up north in Feb. though. I hope you keep enjoying. What will you be doing for Crimbo this year? Er.. so you swim in the sea?

I hope you enjoyed your night at the Kings Bar on Soi 8. "Avin" all that free food on their blue and white balloon party night. Did you know that 90% of the supposed females in there are lady boys? I bet you found out and steered clear after your feed. Oooops!! Dave is the bar owner who used to own it with Welshie Gareth but they went their separate ways. Gareth now owns his own bar on Soi 7, almost opposite the Pig an Whistle. Look out for the Welsh Dragon flag on the inside wall of the bar. Another good bar on Soi 7 is Nick's Bar. Very comfortable lounge seats and I consider it to be one of the best bars in Pattaya for watching sport with the wall mounted TV's plus you are not pestered. Nick is a Blackpool(Seasiders) fan and has signed shirts and photo's in Nick's Corner. Not doing very well the Pool at the moment!! Enjoy your stay and would hope to see you in May on our 9th annual work golfing trip outta Perth, Western Australia. Really enjoy watchin yer movies. Thumbs up mate. Regards Aussie1
