Who is able to make war with the Beast?
P dog !!!
Legendary lyrics. Needs to be heard.
the message still resonates 30 years later
So true a true classic ❤❤❤
Devine...! Miss the dayzz 'o old😢❤❤❤❤
Who’s here and still thank this song is relevant in 2024?
“Welcome to the show that never ends”
if you hear this legend in 2022,
you're a legend too👌
Don't know why but all of a sudden I got the urge to hear this song so I looked up the video and here I am
Of the tens of thousands of Hip Hop joints I've heard over the decades, this is still a very special classic to me.
Listen to the ‘pac mix I made!
One of my favorite records! The 1st time I heard it was on a movies called strapped that dropped in 1993.. dope movie btw
If it wasn't for Ice Cube..Paris would of been a bigger artist imo
@@eazyredz2051 Hmmm...how so ???
On the REAL!!!!!!!
“I ain’t pro human cause all humans ain’t pro black” ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
You know it. ✊🏾
Facts!🔥
How come Paris is not widely considered one of the greatest ever ?
This guy is legend and this tune is a masterpiece
Lyrically, i rate him above Biggie or Jay Z or any other. The only ones on his level for depth are 2pac, Nas, Ice Cube, Chuck D amongst the more well known. He was too dangerous for mainstream and never sold out.
This song turned 30 years today.
Thank you for making me feel old.
Back when rapp had a message.. Those were the days of old.
Words that resonate even in 2023
Best rap song of 2023
Factz!
Who’s listening in 2023?
You know it
✌🏾💯
Yeah, I’m 58 and I’ve lost a couple of best friends. I just miss the days of old when you knew your whole neighborhood and people were really friends. Also the neighborhoods were safe and everybody looked out for each other. THE DAYS OF OLD SAD 😞
True bro
😢😢😢😢😢😢💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Rings true in 2023!
Greatest rap video of all time. This video is still relevant today to bad nobody listened to the message.
" Kings and Queens were the names of the righteous
But the sons of slaves are insane and we might just
Self-destruct and erupt without a chance to grow
This ain't the days of old" ✊🏾
Harlem New York here ,this song got lost in all the madness going on in the 90s real shit right here .
hbukh jhbui it wasn’t lost so much. I remember this album being popular back then when I got it on vinyl. I think he didn’t follow up in a big way
Paris is still relevant in 2018. 👊🏾✌🏾
2018 - 2019 👊👊👊 respect to París and West Coast 🇲🇽🇲🇽
Paris should recieve an award for this song.
Daniel Lambert Several.
your recognition is the award :)
Real shit a Grammy
As should Dana Dane for his classic Chester Chester
25 yrs later this song is still relevant frfr
Facts 💯
Even more .. !
2024 these definitely aren't the days of Old who agrees
Makes me want to cry ...... So much meaning & authenticity .... You can kiss this type of stuff goodbye this day and age ... Miss the days of old ......
This song often does make me cry brah. Reminds me of some of the best times of my life when this tune was playing and the memories of the lads who were there that aren't anymore (I fucking miss my boys so much), also takes you back to the period when hip hop like this was a gold standard. It's a hella nostalgic melody/sample. Just transports you back to a better time.
Much love from Australia my brother!! Peace!!
Paris just had a birthday yesterday on October 29th , happy belated birthday, homes.
Donald Byrd & The Blackbyrds - Mysterious Vibes
AWLREDDY MANE!
Paris is one the GOATS of hip hop. Legend!
I love this song this bring tears to my eyes.. this is exactly how we grew up.. Ive been shot up and shot people up sometimes I can't believe I'm still alive.. I remember being a teenager times was no joke in New York City! And it's still like that!! Life is precious stay outta trouble! My name is SYNA like SINNA from Arlington Staten Island NEW York City! Hahahaha!
When everybody was listening to NWA, I had Paris in my tape deck
I had em both two decks fool
Paris song is still relevant now we need music like this again to touch the youth
Couldn'T agree more!
Songs like this make a grown man cry so real so relevant
AMEN!
Peace to the black panther of hip hop, the hard truth soldier soldier,i'm a huge fan since sleeping with the enemy album, mad love from ALGERIA 🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿
You suck on black culture but don't love black people in north Africa. Fuck algeria
This is real "conscious rap"
Wait, what? U outta ur mind? Watch out, man, or FBI's comin' to getcha, if ya keep pretending any former, actual or future existence of something funny called "cuntshoos" rap. Ts. Ridiculous.
Everybody knows that Hip Hop had always been the upper-class satirical art form of trying to express the whole elitist philosophy of egotism, suppression, torture, pest, FIAT-pseudo-money and death through questionable, nonconsecutive lyrics via bad rhymes about money, ego, cash, battle raps (ego), $, fornication, murder accessories, $$, awkward, often down-low female characters, vehicles, dough, psychoactive excess, living miserable lives while glorifying that cesspool, $$$, viciousness, garbage, sociopathic pranks, lucrative kills valuing 3 - 4 cheeseburgers (inflation!) and other premium signs of some good life of the inbred-laden top-1%, responsible for today's peaceful, smooth, laid-back kinda atmosphere all over the entire globe!
Luckily, we don't have to face situations, where some pesky lench mob is misdirected into believing, that your bought & paid for regime (daily & faithfully brown-nosed by their self-owned pseudo-press like a good, commendable medieval troubadour), which orchestrated and/or failed to thwart every single crisis, happening over the last 20 years, is acting in good faith for your nation's benefit! Implemented "shock doctrine" (Naomi Klein) in 2001 seems to have finally & completely vanished, methinks...
Ask your local StasiNazi ministry of truth! They know 4 sure!
Conscious rap -- sounds like some bizarre oxymoron, like..grass meat furniture, or deathly living, or water sun, or straight loony phantasms like some functioning representative demockracee, participation, dignity or, damn, whatshisname, ah yeah: friehdumb and similar stuff...conspiracy theories, multiplied by weak, unthankful slaves, forgetting about their proper place in luxurious pigpens behind the backyard, IMHO...
This video is so real
The lost black race needs to pay attention to this beautiful educational knowledgeable record.
Nothing has changed. This song is just as relevant today as it was when it came out. 1:34 - 1:48.
"Kings and queens were the names of the righteous but sons of the slaves are insane so they might just...." POWERFUL.
This song speaks volumes way life is now
this deserves so much more recognition
1992 yes this was so dope
Remember the back side of the Album with a plane flying into the White House or was it the front?
Song was on the movie strapped

Been listening to this, since 1993 😉
THISSS is what you call "TIMELESS" music! I have so many child hood memories this song brings back to me. I'm 45 now but when this dropped my BigBroski Mont played HS basketball for the Mifflin Punchers.. his buddy Damien who also played on the team would come stay the night 9/10x after Varsity games and me my ma bro and step pops would order pizza. Fun ass times he would even stay up when my bro passed out playing "Super Mario Bros" 🤣 man what fun times that dude just didn't know how much i appreciated that shit! Paris was so underrated imo..
i like this song since my 27 years i have now 57 ... hi from france peace and love.
This generation needs these kind of message in hip hop.
This was conscious music. This sample goes only with deep songs.
Tru Dat!
This song needs more credit that what it receives
This song has more meaning now than ever so sad
Not to sound week but I just started 😢
This was at the height of gang violence from Oakland to Compton folks was getting smoked on a daily ‼️😔 so many young men and woman didn't get to see 25!!!!!!! 💔
The feds/the government & police was behind all that & they was doing all the set up & paying bills to killll blks like they do the rappers & then make up some gang stories when there the ones behind it all … it’s deep believe it or not.
This song is so damn relevant some 30 years later.
West coast legend Paris we love you brother fans for life
Memorable song. If I remember correctly it came out in ‘93 and I was sophomore in HS. I always remembered the end of the video where all the black bodies were zipped up in body bags cuz another black man took their life. It was a strong message.
I remember listening to this when I was 16, getting nostalgic for being a little kid.
Now in my 40s, i get nostalgic, sometimes, for being a teenager.
I think I know how I'll feel when I'm in my 60s and so on (God willing)
Make your days count everyone! Make your days worth missing, and enjoy what you got right now!
COLINNNNNN!!!
You're speaking to my soul💯💯💯
I'm 46, and although I'm sure most ppl probably feel that their childhood was the best, you and I truly DID come up during one of the greatest times...
It's a little sad to me, that if I even attempted to try and explain all the things that MADE it so special to a kid growing up today, they literally wouldn't just not be ABLE to be able to process the issues and subjects I'd speak about--they wouldn't CARE.
I hope one day, the circular nature of life, brings hip hop back to where it was in the 90s...
It might not have been perfect, but at least it felt like we were TRYING to figure it all out, as we went!
(You and I are now "old heads" it seems)
Had to take a second to say #SALUTE to your comment...
Made my entire day💯👊💯
Stay blessed bro
Love & light
🙏❤🙏
44 here.. 90s maine, damn
16 years old from Israel here. I'm sure I'll be bumping it in my 40s!!!
@@jeffwischhof5752 I'm glad that as a 16 year old I have the chance to listen to these masterpieces that my friends don't understand
I remember listening to this and all of Paris album's in the Bronx, we loved Paris. All of us cats with knowledge love him and very happy to hear more of the brother. PEACE!!
AMEN!
That's dope, much love from Oakland.
Almost 30 years later and I cannot listen to this song or watch the video without getting teary-eyed. #classic
2024 still bumping!
2020 and still relevant
Very
the beat is beautiful
Blackbryds sample
Enchanting...
This is one of my favorite joints. 90s rap use to hit hard💪🏾
The most under appreciated rap song
Another classic from an overlooked, underknown west coast early 90's legend. Man he spit fire back in the days. Not just great lyrics but also boight social issues & problems of the times. Young rappers need to study this, as well as many many real hip-hop pioneers from mid 80's thru early 2000's. Before the rap artform turned to commercial, contentless Bullshit
Still bumping this in 2021!!💯🔥🔥
The Movie “Strapped” brought me here 📍
Facts!!!
Me too!

Remember when rappers actually had something to say?
Paris!! Damn i feel nobody remembers him anymore. I was young teen kid from Finland early 90’s and i loved Paris lol. He got poliyical lyrics and i understood them a little ,but i was fell in love on his beats. Those tracks are like Rahhhh!!

Why nobody make songs like this anymore??
AMERICA won't allow it!
Wack industry not letting artists like this flourish anymore. Now, if you ain’t with the system then you’re against it.
