Hope you have a safe trip to the Rubicon and back.👍👍
Thank you!
Great guide for anybody else looking to gather the right tools and parts for any off-road trip with a yj. Great pointers. Hope to see a rubicon trail video!
Thanks! Plan to record as much as I can
Great video! Thanks for shopping with us!
Thanks!
If everyone took care of their vehicle like you and just .made their bed...wed get alot done efficiently.
Haha thanks
Been following since you got the YJ. Really looking forward to your rubicon video !
Thanks! 14 years of talking about it and finally going to run it
I FORGOT TO SUBSCRIBE??? Man I watched you a couple times a while back when I started my little channel jeepNdirt and lost your channel. Not anymore. Kinda related, kinda not, I just did a little overview video of my Dad's 98 TJ that I put together for him on a budget and people have been watching and also asking when I'm I going to post on my 95 YJ that I've owned for 26 years and my latest monster the JLUR pictured on the channel. YJ's are simply one of the best jeeps to build period. Many may not care of the square headlights but the YJ had a SIGNIFICANT impact on all jeeps going forward until now and most people don't realize it. I'm just a "for fun channel" slowly putting out content as I learn the whole editing, drone shots, etc.... but I'm working on YJ content and hope to share with the world like you. I ABSOLUTLEY love your YJ and something that I didn't realize until now is that you kept it spring under. So many advantages to that, so much so that I'm considering going back to that after a long time of spring over in the rear. I love the articulation, but dislike the maintenance having to deal with spring wrap, the anti-wrap bar, and other things. Glad I found your channel again. Good job and can't wait to see the Rubicon footage.
New subscriber here. Your YJ is rad! I look forward to seeing the Rubicon video. I'd love to take my Toyota on the Rubicon someday.
Thanks! Plan to bring my fly rod, apparently there may be golden up there somewhere.
@@HardEarnedBacon Now we're talking! haha
Enjoy and my yj isn’t ready for the Rubicon trail but I enjoy driving it daily and some light trails around Ga.
Got to start somewhere!
Redhead steering box is the way to go!
I'll look into them. Thinking about getting a Durango box and porting it myself.
Hope you had fun on the Rubicon. Hope everything went well.
Dealing with hurricane weather at the moment unfortunately. We are delaying for a couple of days.
@@HardEarnedBacon well stay safe
I've been using 5w30 in my np231. 10w30 in my transmission for years. I can top off engine, transmission, and transfer case with the oil i keep on hand for my engine. Haven't had any problems and change it regularly.
Well, I won't be putting motor oil in my auto lol
@@HardEarnedBacon oh c'mon live a little. I forgot yours was auto. Mine is a 4 banger with the legendary ax5. Known for it's amazing strength. The 0-60 times are mind blowing. 🥲 But seriously. I'm waiting for it all to die so I can put a small block in it but it just refuses to die. I'll probably go with an auto as well and I promise not to feed it motor oil.
Have but only carry when may be needed or when heading out to rescue someone and know its needed, and as far as can remember Dad always had one on the farm for as needed,,, main jack? never,,, but one to always have access too for as needed,,heck yeah,, hi-lift is hard to beat
Yeah, good tool
Have fun out there. Great video as well. You may want to take an extra serpentine belt and a lug wrench. You probably already have the lug wrench, but it’s worth noting since you didn’t mention it in the video.
Thanks! Serp belt wouldn't be a bad idea, this belt only has 10k miles on it at the moment. Extendable 1/2" ratchet in my junkyard bag takes the place of a lug wrench.
Don't forget to grab some maxi pads. 😁 No really, why because they Absorb blood very well in case of emergency. The wings will also stick to skin.
A claw hammer will make those vent steaks easy to pull out. I got some better steaks from Walmart. They ones the tent comes with suck at best.
Haha my first aid kit has some compression and trauma pads so I'll stick with those 😂
What steering setup are you running? I have a 90 yj that I wanna upgrade the steering on
Hey, so I also have a 91 YJ with 35s. Are you running stock axels? 30 and 35? What about lockers? I have lunchbox lockers.
