In this episode I love the way Amanda bring some changes in the life of Teekay
In the past, at GSS Nyanya in Abuja, our school had a principal who, whenever someone misbehaved, would just say "Sergi" (one of the school guards), followed by "Bashi Goma" (which translates to "give him 10 whips" in Hausa)
If you're caught jumping the fence, it's either 20 blocks and 2 bags of cement or face expulsion.
If you pass by a sachet of biscuit or water without picking it up, it's "Sergi, bashi goma" for you.
If you speak to a teacher or an elder without saying "Sir" or "Ma'am," it's "Sergi, bashi goma" as well
The principal's acting is top-notch and reminds me of the past.

Really? I get the dad has to teach Amanda morals, but he should actually do that without alienating Amanda, and allowing strangers -teachers/school to abuse her and leave her feeling like she has no safe place to turn. Sending her to a crappy school is one thing; allowing that crappy school to hit her is a completely and dangerously different story. He should have set boundaries for the school, like she may have detention, or be intimidated where she thinks they may hit her, or the like, but no one is allowed to actually hits my girl child.

It's these so called “creepy school” that made a good contribution in shaping our lives to be what we are today.
I remember my first term in a government secondary school... a guy bullied me (same class), I fought to the best of my strength but I bled from my mouth at the end, the boy was unhurt...😅😅
See if you have not been bullied, you won't know how it feels, if you've never been stripped off of ur rights and treated like a slave, you won't know how privileged ur to enjoy these rights...
And that is exactly how Amanda is, and that's what the father is trying to correct...
She has enjoyed a lot of privilege and it has gotten into her head... So the father is just letting her have a taste of both worlds... Taste the hardship that people are going through then you'll appreciate the privilege u are enjoying and you'll know how to treat people better...

A friend of mine was saying that whenever he sees a child that hawks and the child is maybe crying back home or just seated somewhere crying, he said he has money on him, he'll stop and give them some money, because he know that it's either the child has lost money or has been cheated... How did he know this, because he was sent to hawk too when he was in primary school, he had gone through same experience...
But nowadays when these our GenZ children see these things, they get irritated...
That's why I understand Amanda's Dad's anger...

Amanda's father correction treatment on amanda is great, but it has negative vibes too, because some of those students in that school could also influence her into wrong ways of living, e.g prostitution, drug addiction, smoking and all sorts of wayward things.... imagine a teacher coming to class saying am tired, go and borrow note from other class when she was supposed to teach... my thoughts though....
In my secondary school that’s how most of our teachers do right from when i was jss to secondary teachers always tell us to borrow note, who woh spoil go spoil
