I find this drumline unique, and different from all the other drumlines in the U.S. I love their creativity and JSU keeps me entertained. My favorite cadence has to be the one when they enter in the boombox classic x 12. You guys should check it out.
@ bail song- what the hbcu does is that we crank the bottom head to a high pitch(about a c# or above) and the top to a mid almost to high range pitch and we loosen the snares to when they are barely tight at all. The heads are for batter a power stroke 77 and snare side is a ambassador both Remo clear marching snare drum heads to have a very natural and traditional tone

That's the same exact snare heads that we use.
My high school band has that same exact snare head, and it sounds like gunshots. But the thing is that you gotta put power on it.
