Excellent and very complete vocal warmup! Thank you for your dedicated work.
Grazie mille❤
Dr Hale. Many thanks.I started using your warm ups a few months ago with my 2 choirs. My choirs are amateur and some of the aural tests they struggle with but everything else has really helped. We entered the Cornwall International Male Festival (Male Choir)and we came 5th out of 16 . Maybe others might say so what? But we were only 16 singing and we were up against it with choirs from Eastern Europe and choirs with 60 singing.I also entered them in the Llandudno Choral festival where they came 4th with only a point in between and my female choir came 2nd!So thank you very much. The biggest help too was learning how to relax before singing.
@meryn williams. Congratulations on your success. I would love to hear a recording of your choirs! Please let me know what resources I can create to help you more.
Dear Dr Hale. I wish I could come and work in America!

Excellent! Greetings from Argentina.
muchisimas gracias! Yo vivi en Argentina 25 anos atras! ~Roger
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
I like this warm up... I fund it useful to explain the tongue position simply as I'm a beginner I'm thinking about everything else, so to just keep tongue forward is nice and simple at mo... (tongue molars, larynx, diaphragm, sternum, shoulders, mouth circular, long neck,,, etc!!)
Glad it was helpful!
Herzlichen Dank sehr hifreich👏👌🏼
Thank you!
Felicidades,yo hace un tiempo que estoy con ganas de hacer un voluntariado.Su corazón es enorme, traspasa la pantalla.👏👏👏

Hi sir I'm Martin 17 years old and I downloaded your vocal warm up videos because i want to develop my and I love singing. Thanks for uploading the videos I hope more videos to improve my voice😃..
Martin, Thank you for your comment. I am very happy that you are singing. Stay well. Happy New Year , Roger
Thank you sir😃 can you give me an advice of what or when I can warm-up my voice because a lot videos and I think I need to follow the right progress of exercising the voice.
Thank you for this extended warmup video, I like the fact that you do most exercises so we can follow. I have an issue with having to make sounds, without knowing how it sounds. This is also the main reason why I can’t learn a song, based on the music only, I have to hear it sung first to be able to do the same. In this instance I am referring to the *do re me fa sol la si/ti do* exercise.
@ Björn Dejonckheere I have created a few sight singing videos that you might find useful as you begin to learn to read music yourself. czcams.com/play/PLxfJURRxSlEaAHr2rlWZrtg4pEeYWj2Ph.html
Roger Hale Thank You for the hint, I fear like learning to play piano, reading music maybe just as hard.
@Björn Dejonckheere, little by little it becomes easier. I am working on a sight singing series now that will start simple with a free sight singing (public domain) book that you can work along with. Stay tuned.
Thanks a lot , i'm from syria , love you very much❤🙏
Thanks you for watching @raneem!
HELLO MR ROGER,I AM FROM ARGENTINA, I AM FOLLOWING HIM, SO SUCH I HAVE A GOOD HEAR, BECAUSE I HAVE FORGOTTEN ENGLISH, BUT I AM RECOVERING IT THROUGH THE SONG. CLASSES ARE A CHALLENGE, AND I LOVE IT THANKS
Dr. Hales do you offer a private live tutoring online?
Here is a link to my website. solfasinger.com/singing-lessons/
Hello Mr. Rogers,
I have a quick question on singing intervals.
For me it is much easier to find intervals going up, but when singing intervals going down I get confuse whem inverting the intervals and more when singing.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks. 🎶
@Jose Armando Pecina, That seems to be the issue all of my students face too. Here is one resource that may help to begin hearing them. www.musictheory.net/exercises/ear-interval/998nyyngneyyyyyy. Next I would try to figure out the harmonic context for descending intervals. For example a minor 6th down in a major scale is going to be DO down to MI, or a minor 7th DO down to RE. This doesn't change if you are in a major key. I hope that this is helpful to you.
@@RogerHale Thank you very much! I've taken music theory before, but its been a while that I put it into. This certainly helps.
Many Thanks.
Dear Roger, I was wondering if you could spend a few minutes to explain the proper tongue position for all other vowels as you did with "ee" and "ah". Thank you kindly. Greetings from Canada.
Great suggestion! @waldemar3141 Thank you.
Dr. Hale, what note range do you warm up a choir with (SATB). From low to high. I've been asked to conduct a choir and don't know where to start and end notes. Like what you're playing on the piano
I usually start With c major and then keep going until I hear singers begin to lose the vocal quality. I encourage singers be self-aware and change octaves when needed.
Thank you!!!
Hi Bishop Hale I am having a really hard time finding the notes 🙄
Hello how to develop a mood before starting a warm up n practice ???
I would suggest deep breathing first. This will help calm your mind then you can get in the right mood.
RogerHale Hi my name is Grace I am 19 years old I don’t have any back issues I what deep breathing and medication body scan
You should repost this… maybe update the welcome and post it for many who may have not seen this one.. t
Sir.. I'm having trouble in getting Vibrato in my upper register near G4,A4,Bb4,B4
As you develop your lower-mid range singing your upper range will free up too and vibrato will begin to flow. It is important that you try to stay loose in your upper range when the tendency is to tighten up when we sing high. Make sure the back of your neck is tall. Bobble-head a little prior to singing. I hope this helps.
@@RogerHale Thank You Sir...Please help me a bit more...i dont know what i am...with warmup i can go down an F2, sometimes an E2 or D#2...and i can support myself upto G#4,A4 sometimes and i can strain A B4 C5 C#5... please help...Thank You
Aniket Vocalist You truly sound like a low bass to me. If you want to record a bit of yourself singing some scales or a song and send it to me at solfasingerapp@gmail.com I would be happy to listen and offer you my suggestions.
@@RogerHale thank you sir
Subtítulos en español por favor maestro gracias.
When you say high C do you mean C5?
Sareh, C5 for basses and tenors and C6 for sopranos and altos
@@RogerHale Thanks for clarifying(: been finding your videos very helpful btw!
Dr Hale, do you give Skype singing lessons? Naomi Lacken
Yes, Naomi! Please check my website for details: Solfasinger.com/clinic/
Mr. Roger.............when you put words or letters that were suppose vocalize leave them up on the screen.
Can you do these vocal exercises while in bed Professor Hale?
I think you can. just lay on your back and bring your knees up. @Juvet Dakay
@@RogerHale That's what I thought. Thanks.
