I'm NOT a camper and in fact have terrible bug phobias to the extent that after just a few hours outdoors among others I subconsciously begin trying to scratch my hide off, no matter how hard I try to control it. In fact, I had to stop your video at the end where the mosquitoes were biting you and then come back to finish the video later. I bet that the loss of your towel and your many other caring actions left an indelible mark on the memories of the other adventure campers. And your own kids will always remember being at this camp with you even if they won't understand how difficult it was until they volunteer to camp with their own children. Thank you for finding the time to video snippets of this experience with the rest of us.

my fondest memory was lesmahagow in scotland camp,we kayaked,rock climbing/abscaling, midnight walks, it was so much fun, so scenic and just perfect, oooo to be young again xx
I loved going to bible camp pre-teen and as a teenager. One of the camps I used to go to was Sugar Creek bible camp in Ferryville WI. Every time camp was done for the year, I promised myself that one day I'd work there as a camp counselor. The packing list brought back memories for me from over 45 years ago. To this day some of my happiest memories of growing up include bible camp. Thank you for sharing your experience. I really enjoyed this video. Your Thrive order looks a lot like mine generally look--we love the chocolate snacks and c. chips.
Brought back fun memories of chaperoning for our youngest daughters group at church camp years ago. The chaperones taught 31:19 classes for the kids to pick from. Taught a baking class😂
Prepping for camp, camp and then unpacking and laundry after took a lot of time away from YouRube. It was worth it, but now I’m trying to get back to it and we’re in the last few weeks before the wedding so lots of dress alterations taking my time.
I went to family Methodist camp with my children in the early 90’s. The cabins were similar and the location.It rained most of the time in Iowa. We still had fun in the community cabin.we also had mold in our cabin. The lord pulled us through. Never forget 😂

We had overnights at the Buffalo, NY zoo, Niagara Falls Aquarium, a skating rink, Buffalo Museum of Science, N.Y. and even camp just like yours. My days are over with my little ones only because they are 32 and 29. Love all your videos ❤
Just looked on google earth at lake atkins. My GOODNESS you guys are in the middle of nowhere! Ive never done anything that far deep in the woods. So cool. Amazing camping. Thanks for sharing with us 😊❤

At our church camp we have vespers every night with a snack. It’s different every night like pretzel sticks or popsicles or s’mores or cheese and crackers etc.

You triggered some many WONDERFUL memories! I grew up going to YMCA camps every year, as many sessions as I could. After my babies became old enough, they went to Y camp and I was a Y camp nurse. Then came my grand kids who also went to YMCA summer camp sessions while I was the camp nurse. None of us has gone since the 2020 changes. We do lots of glamping in our RVs now. I hope you all wonderful life long memories like me - summer camps are GREAT!
This is perfect timing! I’m packing my 12 year old for church camp right now! She will be gone an entire week and I’m super nervous for her but she is very excited as this is her first time. ❤
All I could think about was the amount of laundry you'd have to do when you got home. Most only have one campers belongings to clean but you had to multiply it by 3. Looks like it was worth it. What a trooper!!

When I see the title of I lost my towel, I instantly laughed. I have been the one hoping no one loses a towel ❤ i can only imagine losing mine
It all turned out ok; I was able to pivot and use a t-shirt as my towel for the week.

The chaperones couldn’t rappel or rock climb because the camper attendance was at max capacity.
