    This has been the best explanation of genotype and phenotype in canaries. Been trying to understand my bronze male. Closest I've found to understanding the melanin genes

    I totally enjoyed this explanation of sex link canaries.
    I had a pair. Cinnamon mother, yellow father.
    Had a cinnamon male, and 2 ivory females. Per your explanation.

      So, now you know that your yellow father must be a cinnamon carrier to have produced, with his cinnamon hen, a cinnamon male chick. Nice!

    I have male blue gloser 100% melanin x female green gloser 100% melanin they give me : cinnamon female, agate female,blue male ???
