- The Saturday Night Market on Thana Lai Road is one of Chiang Rai's busiest night markets. From Thai delicacies to artifacts made by local artisans, you can find anything you want here. If you are not interested in purchasing trinkets, you can stroll along with the food stalls as the aroma will undoubtedly draw your attention.
If you go there to eat, we recommend eating early - by 8:00 PM, the place will be packed and the lines for food will be quite long. However, this is also the time when the market begins alive.
What to Expect from a Thai Night Market - Northern Thai food and drinks, Handcrafted products, Thai massages, Clothing, Northern Thai dancing shows, Folk concerts, and a good time ^^
✅ Open every Saturday from 6 PM. - around 11 PM.
📅Date Record: 25 March 2023 / 8 PM.
🌡 Weather / Temperature: Chill / 25℃

Where I live in Pongdaeng. I can get to the walking street market for 30 baht using the bus/pickup trucks, but the local bus/pickup trucks stop running about 4:30-5:00 pm. So, I'd have to take a taxi home and that would probably cost close to 600 baht. It's about a 20 mile trip. There's an early evening market next to the old white clock tower that has a lot of food, and a covered marketplace next to it with food, clothes, bakeries nearby, and all kinds of other things. If you're visiting Chai Rai, you may want to walk around both of these places, plus down by the fancy gold clock tower. There's some nice little restaurants and bars around there.
Thank you for your information. I hope to record more video in Chiang Rai again in the future.
Beautiful walking, beautiful people!
I agree with you
