There's gotta be some commercial - at least a restaurant or cafe or ice cream shop or two, and one convenience shop/market for residents, guests, and visitors! The favorite local/vacation hangout :) Maybe a few small buildings on the main island in place of the duplicated road by the boat hotel?
That little area on the right side of the hotel after the parking lot add a small commercial convenient store and a restaurant as an islander nothing worst than waitin for food to arrive on the ferry from the mainland lol great build love your work
You’re videos are hugely entertaining and relaxing. I think your take on a Baltimore inspired city would be very unique. It’d essentially just be a more shabby and run down city with a lot of industrial area. Definitely would love a series similar to that.
I personally think the vanilla assets aren't ugly (except a few like the sci-fi level 3 ugly low-business building, and most of the trees from day 1 of CS), it is the vanilla LODs (and vanilla rendering) that are ugly. As far as I remember that sakura tree LOD is broken in vanilla and I am 100% sure he's using some sort of LOD adjuster to make that thing render in full detail even when camera is far away. He's also using some sort of Anisotropic Filtering mod to make textures render clear even if viewed from far away. And the clean theme/LUT helps too.
I ADOOORE these tiny scale tile builds, the island theme was stunning, on top of that. amazing build! Maybe try something similarly scaled but in a massive mountain range as something like a giant national park with your city as the pop. center?
Gorgeous build. Very aesthetically pleasing. To add realism, add a water tower, fire station, and garbage collection. Maybe you can surface another key, add a road and place the facilities there behind trees.
Very beautiful place. But would it not be nice to make the whole resort-island pedestrian-only? The distances seem walkable and is would save a lot of space. :) Maybe with just a small bus and using one-way streets?
I think the beaches are a bit too steep around the new islands. other than that: pretty nice with vanilla! I like that series a lot. But one last thing: PLEASE: Around minute 45 is X-MAS music again. I mean, come on, we have August! ^^
personally I feel like there is nothing to do on that island other than camp, swim and boating. I don't mean this in a rude way btw sry if it comes out like that!

I love this, i've always been super overwhelmed with maps like this, but you make it look so cozy
