Jamun ka Ped

This is an English rendering of an original Hindi story, written in 1960, by Krishen Chander. It lucidly explains the system of governance that has been in existence in India for a long time. For the last two/three decades, there have been many scholars, analysts, experts, etc., who have been writing copiously on reforming the administrative system. I wonder if even one of them has heard of this story, let alone actually read it. The author has been able to get to the heart of the lack of governance that is at the core of the government. It was narrated sixty years ago.
