I love this. I'm disabled with a lumbar fracture and 8 extruded thoracic disks. I spend most of my life in bed on my right side to reduce the pain, because I will not take the extended release morphine or fentanyl the pain specialist recommended. My body is messed up, I need my mind as sharp as possible to keep alive. Then I was gifted a ticket to Burning Man in 2019. How was I to be able to move around? I wracked my brain and thought maybe a recumbent trike would not be torture. A miracle happened. I tried pedaling one and it didn't hurt at all worse than when I'm in bed, but the guy said "take it out on the street". I was scared but started flying down the street screaming "Thank You God". After 14 years I was out of the prison my body had become. So I was so amazed I got my partner one, so I need to carry two trikes. It does involve some extra pain in addition to the 6-8 out of 10 pain I'm always in when I walk to the trike but when I get on it almost all the pain leaves and I can't stop laughing. It has saved my life. I Thank You for this video. I'm going to try it.
Human being to human being you have helped me.

Awesome job. Would be even better if it had built-in ramp somehow. But I like this - very ingenious and simple!

Nice! Thanks for the video. I am thinking about buying a TRIOT trike. I will be test riding one in March. They are fantastic, but because of their unique design, they don't fold up. I will need to follow your example if I get one.

My suggestion would be to use aluminum for the wheel rails, rather than 2x4's. I would also install hinges on the wheel rails. This would eliminate lifting and provide you with the ease of rolling the trikes on to the carrier. A latch on top of the hinged rail would serve to keep it locked-in straight after the trike is in place. Other than these modifications, I commend you on your innovation. I will probably integrate some of your build into my current project. Thank you for sharing your ingenuity. You did a great job 👏.

Would you know where to get the orange single wheel holder? Or even what they are called? Thanks.

Mike - thanks for the inspiration. I completed mine today. I would upload a photo but I don't think you can do that here.

Awesome design. Simple and easy to break down. Only suggestion would be if you are using it with the same receiver I would weld a stop where you have the white line which would make inserting it to the correct location easier.
Question : How visable are the tail lights?

Which Harbor Freight carrier did you use? I think I bought the wrong one. BTW, great design!

Did you find out what the long orange things are called? This is the best idea I have come across to take two trikes on the road.

Great idea and design but after watching you get it all hitched and attached it looks like it’s time for a good nap not a ride. :)
