- Yes yes, it took me long to post this one, I know.. I was on leave!đ
But I hope the wait was worth it!
So I found myself in Paris, just peeking at the departure board out of curiosity, and I found an Air France flight to Dubai via Doha. I was booked already on Emirates directly to Dubai, but as that would be too easy.. I quickly booked a flight on Air France instead!
Itâs a rare flight thatâ just operating a couple of times during the World Cup in Qatar, so come and join and see for yourself what the experience is like in Premium Economy!
I just wish it was a daytime flight as I was dead, but the crew were so incredibly cool.. Wish I had made more out of the experience!

They outdo themselves with me most of the times.
I know others might not be such big fans, but I guess that if youâre ok and understand the French humor and culture youâre totally fine.
The food was actually a highlight for me. I never considered healthy plane food. Itâs just hard to achieve. You kind of need all the bad stuff to preserve it better, specially when you cook in a big scale like Economy Class is. But this meal was healthy, I only noticed the info once I finished.

Looks like Air France has great service! Their Premium economy seat though is just ok. After you showed us the Emirates Premium economy seat "many videos ago" I now unfairly compare premium econ products to the Emirates one.. I know I shouldn't do that as I set my self up for disappointment lol! ;(

The beef was actually fork tender and good. Just needed the salt. But I like the originality as itâs usually always some stew..

I actually liked the menu, it was a healthy meal which is very rare.
But yes, very chic, specially their employees. Even the ground staff looked and behaved like a million bucks.

GE90-94B on the -200ER sounds pretty similar to the GE90-115B on the -300ER and -200LR, it is just that the grind on the -94B is louder and the howl on the -115B is richer, but nevertheless they sound pretty similar on startup and takeoff.

I thought of Aubergine puree, but I eat that a lot in the form of moutabal or baba ghanoush, and it didnât really taste like that. It was a similar in taste thing as a cold mashed potato..

Comprehensive trip report as always.
I was just wondering, since aviation CZcamsrs tend to do more long-haul flights than an average person does, how do you deal with jet lag?
Iâll go as far to say that I think I even fly more then all other CZcamsrsđ. I just get to publish maybe 10-20% of what I actually fly.
So yes, good question, fatigue plays a huge role! I donât call it jet lag anymore.
My trick is just to sleep when Iâm tired and stay awake when Iâm not.
Also I try to follow Dubai time (my home time) as much as I can no matter where in the world.
I exercise a lot and eat healthy whenever possible.
As long as youâre happy and fit I donât see any problems with jet lag!
What camera did you use to record this (you should add it to the description in the future)? The quality is phenomenal considering how clear it is in low light! Great flight report as always!

2. Itâs a German brand called Rimowa. The suitcase model is the âTopasâ. Not cheap but definitely the best money can buy.

Question; I know that there are a lot of websites and apps that you can use to figure out this stuff however, how exactly do you figure out the flights and destinations/origins of the aircraft you spot? Great video as always bro!
By searching the registration or the playback function for that date -and time. There are many tricks that you can discover as you get used to the app.

So, Spaniards are incredibly talkative and social. So thatâs just a skill I have.. Iâm good in creating social bonds.
I try to find a time when someone is not busy. Boarding is mostly very busy for crew, unless itâs almost the end of it.
I wouldnât know how to exactly explain it. I try to adapt to every language and culture.
With Singaporean crew I keep it clam and professional while on Emirates I go and have a laugh.

I appreciate it was a PE flight but thought the presentation of the food (although it looked very edible) was poor, still in plastic trays and the cutlery in that horrible wood/plastic. The interior of the aircraft certainly showing its age.
But as ever really interesting and very informative report.
I think that weâre getting very used to supreme Premium Economyâs so our expectations are even higher then before!
I was quite happy with the quality offering. But yes, the cutlery was a bit meh..
The aircraft is on the way out of the fleet so I understand that an interior refit was not in order.
It was surprisingly good for a +20 year old aircraft!

good video. main dish looked bland and could have used a little bit more cooking. AF is a hit and miss product, unlike KLM --- that is a top notch European product. pretty solid, followed by Lufthansa. I would take KL anytime over AF. Last but not least, QR is a product in a completely different class of it's own. NOBODY can beat QR is any way --- not even Emirates. EK was great back in the 90s and beginning of Y2K, but not so more. DXB airport is a nightmare to navigate through. Many airlines did add or resume services to DOH but unfortunately, FAILED. What QR offers is NO WHERE close to what the others were offering.
The main course did look a bit boring but itâs a French classic and it was very good!
I can see youâre a big QR fan! But I would have to disagree with some of the things you say..
While I admire the intentions and ideas behind it all, I donât fully buy it.. Yes, Qsuite is nice but thatâs as long as you get it! Many times my nice A350 was swapped for an A330 or different so I end up disappointed.
Yes there is dine on demand but on 80% of the flights they never have what I request for.
The crew are mega professional but one mistake and theyâre out, so I can notice their stress which bothers me. On one flight I asked them to stop using my last name and just call me âAlexâ and they refused to do so.
And my worst flight ever on the A380 First Class was with them, I am still considering if to post the video or not because I donât like to complain.
I love Emirates, my son loves it, their only weakness is the B777-300ERâs business but the crew, IFE and beverage selection makes me forget about it all..
Much more on QR coming up! Iâll actually do a Ramadan special with them and compare it to my last incredible Ramadan on EK.
I think you should fly nonstop from Paris to Dubai which will be easy for you instead of Doha.
I do that many times. But this trip I did so that I could do this special flight as it was seasonal.

Question. As a great reviewer of flights. Why would you promote Qatar as a great place and their airline exceeds considering their outrageous human rights towards Gays and more at FIFA? Your choice but think about it. Glad for ONCE you flew a great airline like AF!
I donât really know when I promoted Qatar as a great place but Iâll have to say the following;
I know plenty of gays living in Qatar. And even more in the UAE. I even know transgenders. And while itâs not officially recognized; itâs here and Iâve never seen anything going wrong.
While I fully support progress, it takes time. Give Qatar a couple of decades to adapt. It took Europe many centuries too. There was a lot of gay and racial discrimination in my childhood where I come from.
Iâm sure you enjoy a good cup of tea or coffee. Thatâs made in countries with modern day slaves . Countries where homosexuals continue to be prosecuted and poverty reigns. And yet nobody talks about that.
We can just go on and on!
