Thank you so much!! This is helpful!
I have a video request (it might take a few): I would love to see when to use splitters, mattes, mixers, layer, etc nodes in practical instances.
I am trying to learn how to work with less-than-perfect footage so I can get hired for short films/music videos and struggle with WHEN to use specific methods or tools properly and why you make those decisions so I can squeeeeeeeeeze as much as possible out of whatever footage I have (and not break my brain in the process). So if you could show us how/what your flow/approach is when doing those types of things, so everything flows and looks consistent (even if scenes are different) I would be eternally grateful!

Ooo okay sounds good. Yeah so which do you need covered the most at the moment?

@AparicioCo all of them, really Hahaha. If I haaaad to choose, then maybe how you approach/analyze and grade for a project with multiple shots. Especially bc I am trying to look for and take on more short films and music videos. Commercials are the end goal, for me. You have more experience so what would you prioritize if you were starting over and relearning/ wish you knew earlier?

Oh okay yeah I could do that. But I would say in the beginning just make sure you properly convert all your footage from Log. And I would also say stay away from LUTS in the beginning and just create every look in the book by hand🤌

@AparicioCo that I can do. Color science is something I had to look for bc of colorsync and Macbook. I know various things but lack knowledge and understanding of when it may be best to use them or when/where in the node structure. Layers, for example, when building looks.

Oh okay. Yeah that can be tricky. I’ll definitely be putting out vid on that👍
