Ty brother. I’ve been outta the loop for awhile. This makes it easy.
That was way easier than I anticipated. I appreciate it!
You're the the only one who explained how to make the bootable drive. Thank you
I was about to subscribe, but then noticed I am allready Your subscriber long ago :D nice tutorials. I can understand everything even after 12 beers ;)
Thank you and just what I was looking for my new desktop computer.💪
In the boot selection option, how come I am not given the option for download, only select?
Thank you so much. You explained everything perfectly.
i rolled a fatty up for this :)
Great tutorial, just earned a new subscriber.
Thanks a lot for the video, I'll try to save a laptop after I created a drive following your advice
Really nice video, i just sub/be for it!
It helped me for my laptop!

u earned my subscription :) thank u for making complicated matters easy peasy .
excellent, its awesome, everything he explain.
thank you
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the help man
How do you configure Windows User Experience? Was that capability removed in recent versions of Rufus? You click start and it just immediately formats the USB drive and puts the install on it.
Great and best video . Thanks.
quick and fast, master class tutorial
Glad you think so!
amazing, thank you!
Hi there do you have a video for the steps after this ?Thanks
yeah your great man so simpel to understand what your doing thank you for that
I appreciate that!
Excellent instruction. Q if I execute the setup on this USB drive, will this overlay my laptops OS current WIN 10 environment...or ?? Thanks for the help
Hi , I have a laptop that is 13 years old it came with windows 7 I already downloaded windows 10 and then windows 11, I used Rufus , the question is that my laptop is legacy but I left the partition scheme as Gpt should I reinstall windows 11 and choose the other option for partition scheme using Rufus?
Thank you for your video
What did I do wrong?
I had to change my boot to UEFI mode only (disabled legacy mode), but after i did that, my drive no longer comes up in the boot menu (MSI, bios 4, safe mode and csm are disabled). I know my pc can read the drive cause it comes up when i boot into win11, so it's not the physical USB stick; but when in bios it's not being read and all of this changed after i switched off legacy mode (as directed by an info screen i got after trying to boot it uefi+legacy mode).
Thank you!
This man deserves 1million subscription.🎉🎉#thankyousomuch
#you are absolutely legend 💪😊
Sending 💕💕💕 from philippines 💕💕
Once you do this is it good to reboot the windows after doing upgrades or you have to download something else?
So in my case it gives me 1. another option besides NTFS (FAT32) also says its default and it set the cluster size at the one with 8000 something bytes as default, should i just take the default setup or go with the exact setup as you?
Thank you so much..
I have a problem
I used RUFUS to create a botable stick for win 11 and a laptop.
Install worked very good.
But after that i tried VENTOY for a multi boot on same usb stick.
It didnt work so i go back to rufus for another creation of boot for the same WIN 11.
This time windows gives me error and it didnt install.
What is wrong?
Rufus cannot overwrite older installation?
i have a question once your done and you try to reinstall windows 10 with this method will you lose all your (file and apps)
TYSM IT WORKS:)
Subscribed from Africa, Zambia
Everyone agreeing here; however, I am still lost. Is it required for me to download the ISO from the windows page? Do I need a Windows key after I install windows? Does this run same as a normal boot by just plugging it in on a new PC?
Thank you so much for your video. I just have a question. So I downloaded my iso file from the Microsoft website and on your video you used Rufus to download it. Is it the same thing and will it work the same or is downloading using Rufus better?
I guess its downloaded from some other website. Downloading windows from official website can't be straightforward 😊
Help Me 😭😭🙏🙏🙏
I encountered an issue while trying to install Kali Linux on my HP G8 notebook. Here's what happened:
1. I created a bootable USB drive for the installation.
2. During the installation process, I mistakenly selected what I believe was the C drive (which contains Windows) as the installation target.
3. After completing the installation, I noticed that only the command-line interface of Kali was available, and the graphical interface was missing.
4. Later, when I attempted to boot into Windows using the Grub bootloader, I encountered an error that prompted me to perform an automatic repair and troubleshoot.
5. In an attempt to fix this issue, I entered some commands in the command-line interface, including "choose disk," "list disk," "clear," "format," and "fs quick" commands, repeating some of them.
6. Unfortunately, this led to a new problem: I received an error message that said, "boot device not found, please install an operating system on your hard disk."
7. As a result of this error, I'm now unable to boot from the USB drive or access my operating systems.
I'd appreciate any guidance or solutions to address these issues.
if you're having issue not finding your hard drive you want to download to, make sure to click the advanced drive properties tap underneath the partition scheme tab and click "list usb hard drives" then you will be able to choose a hard drive to download too
voice is asmr liked and subbed
All the best 👍👍❤❤
If you use English International or Europe International, you get rid of all the bloatware preinstalled in the ISO.
Isn't this only for Windows 11 though? It works for Windows 10 too? Also, you will probably have to switch to something else if you want to be able to use the Microsoft Store?
weird...my old machine x99s Gaming 7 board is not booting windows from usb either from the window media creator or this method. :/
// never mind, I had to enable 'check for updates daily' and then hit the checkbox 'check update'. Then close Rufus and wait 10~ish second before opening Rufus again. Now it works (current version of writing: 4.5.2180 portable). Good Luck.
Original message:
// I wonder what's up with Rufus... I don't have that dropdown menu anymore (using 4.5). But when I download an older version of Rufus, it's also not there.
Any idea what's going on ? I'm in Western Europe by the way, maybe it's prohibited ?
its that possible to save documents or file in bootable flashdrive?
Can I use your video for academic purposes? Just a performance task
on select option mine doesn't have the option to choose download any help?
i follow this method and it is success form my pc ddr4 no error in forma, but in my ddr3 pc it say's bios/legacy boot of uefi-only media and i compare other youtube video i see the deferent the partition scheme should be MBR...
Thanks
Thank U!
thank you for the explanation but i have a question please .. select/download button shows only 'Select" .. what should i do ??
When it asks you to check for updates you have to select "Yes" to be able to get the download option.
You have to click on the little arrow on the right
Bro i got a inspiron 3442 with UEFI, so i just need to choose gpt+ uefi?
Great video but Rufus is only showing me the latest release 22H2 for both Windows 10 and 11. I need an older ISO of Windows 10.
Piratebay :)
Google is your friend
Then you grab the usb, plug it in your computer then go in bios? How do I install it on my computer?
@@AhmadTalkss yeah, change the BIOS to make the computer read from the USB first.
thank you
how do you restore the USB that won't show but makes a beep sound when plug in
the rufus website no longer looks like this, and i have no idea if i should download standard or portable.
And also once rufus is downloaded theres no option of select or download, its just select
But do u have to have the windows 10 image first before u start
If I already have the ISO, just choose SELECT and then specify the path to that .iso file?
yea
Correct
why did you put it under download and not on the usb?
What do I do with the image?
the partition Scheme for bootable via bios is (MBR) not (GPT)
Sir can you share a secure link for window 7 or XP for my penetration testing 🙏🙏
will it automatically find the windows 10 I downloaded in a folder coz I didn't see that you chose a windows 10 installer before you create one in rufus...
yes
👍my win10 went kaput when I converted MBR to GPT so this will allow me to fix the BCD & stuff
Excellent❤, so please someone explain to me the next step i would do with the Bootable USB drive to my computer that shows me the damn recovery blue screen !
Hold the power key until the system went off and on it, then keep pressing F9 to boot from USB Drive
Is it deleting the old os?
everything goes well until the install itself, then it stops running at 48%, already tried 4 times always freezes at 48%, have windows 7 home premium
does this make a bootable drive with all my software already installed. I use specific app for example, vlc or adoble and notepad ++. Or how do you make a boot disk that has all the software I have bought and installed so I dont have to keep trying to find all the install log in keys and downloads for everything
I could be wrong but it sounds like you want to clone a harddrive unless it is not booting?
@jasonhunter3429 I want to yes clone a drive so if I get a new computer and install windows on it it has all my programs included and activated so I do it all at the same time as the install instead of having to add everything after yhe install
Ok so you want to do a search for cloning a drive. Not a bootable usb. BIG tip. Do not do it to a internal drive and then have both drives in the same case. I did. And that's why I am now looking at vids on how to create boot usb 😢
@jasonhunter3429 ok thanks
why cant I use NFTS? but only FAT32.
is it fine if I use FAT32 instead of NFTS?
You click right mouse button in
Taskbar and find search and click show search box.
why not to create bootable usb through microsoft media creation tool which is more simple and straight forward?
there is no download option on my refus
John Glascock? That you? :D
so fine thanz
Hii can you please make a video installing this Windows in a new PC please
What is autorun in usb
How can i download 32 bits version ??
Rufus Windows 10 Downloaded is already activated or not ? Should I use the rufus Windows 10 or should I download a windows 10 with activator ?
The iso file you download from either the Microsoft website or Rufus does not activate Windows. You are going to need an activation code for that.
I dont know if something has changed but I can't select the download ISO option. I had to manually DL the ISO file and select it.
At the bottom left of the rufus program, locate the three dots with lines through them, then set it to download updates daily (which is default), and also select include beta versions close the window then close rufus and reopen as administrator the drop down menu should be there now. Hope this helps and good luck
@@smazzy1878 Thanks a bunch. Hopefully it'll help others, too. I ended up having to download the ISO directly through a different browser and going from there.
@Sercer25 downloading the iso through rufus has its own benefits. You can disable some built in windows options, and such also picking english international version cuts out a lot of bloatware that's included as well.
I created the USB but when I tried to boot it, it shows me a warning about some UEFI thing linked top Rufus that I dont get it and the video doesnt mention that at all.
set the partition Scheme to MBR not GPT for bootable via bios
Hello Buddy, great tutorial , however when I got Rufus, the select box does not have a drop down arrow to give me the option of downloading
same
Yes i got it, U needa download portable :)
not sure if you still need it but in case you or anyone else does: in rufus, go to application settings (button on the bottom with the three lines with circles on them), then under "check for updates" set it to daily and under "include beta versions" set it to YES. then click on "check now" (to the right). it should update into a beta version, then you just run that one instead and it should have the dropdown :]
@@ryousangataThank you.
@@ryousangata i love you
You didn't talk about the Partition Scheme?
I can't select gpt only mbr
does this delete your main system files? or can you just boot from it seprate from everything else on your computer then unplug it and go back to your normal windows
This is also my question- I’m on a Mac and when I boot Windows from the thumb drive it starts walking me through an installation process which looks like it will delete the Mac os.
Is this how it’s supposed to work?
@@JS-yr3vqno, you're supposed to install it on a different disk partition
OK, this RUFUS thing is confusing me. I used years ago older version ofc, to make a bootable usb with windows but didnt had all this download windows thing. So I have a few questions:
1. From where exactly is RUFUS downloading the windows .iso file?
2. It is a really safe windows to use?
3. It comes activated or not?
It will be a shame to try to install windows 10 and crash mid install or something, dont have other computer to search for other windowses.
I was going to ask the exact same question about if it was activated or not. I am trying it out as we speak and hopefully it comes activated. One of my friends called me an idiot and pointed me towards this when I was debating buying windows for my second computer (am selling my current one) He said it came activated but he isnt the sharpest tool in the shed. Here's hoping for a response/it to just work
@@Pyromanian doesnt come activated. I used rufus made w10 and when i finished installing it i had to use some program cu activate it.
They certainly are not downloading the ISO from microsofts server, they might have stored it somewhere in their server. If I was you I would never use that feature on their software since you never know it might come with some kind of bloatware or adware which keeps on working in the background. Because technically speaking to have that option of downloading WIN10 iso directly from Microsoft would require them to obtain a license which would cost them a lot of money maybe more than what they are making from this software
yoh the link aint workin for me
How can I make a USB drive not bootable anymore
Which one is better? MBR or GPT?
set the partition Scheme to MBR not GPT for bootable via bios
My pc won't get into bios with rufus usb drive installed, pls help
set the partition Scheme to MBR not GPT for bootable via bios
@@kevindunne4748 already did that and it's works, thx
why its gpt?
Yeah when I hit start, rufus just closes
atwarek 3la f9? swlek mouad
eeeei ako ni beshi koi shteshiiiii
I will try this, as my PC got a back door and i cant boot it.
Will let y'all if it works at 5 likes.
Rufus absolutely refuses to install even after pressing " Install Anyway "
I am a bit concerned where Rufus downloads Windows from..
Why does it matter
@@josheichholz1666
Why does it matter who your mother been with when she got pregnant?
Wow you didn't even go over partition scheme or target system and the differences....I'll look elsewhere.
did you ever find a better one?
You don't need to know all that unless you're going through disc part to do a clean and reformat on the drive so I don't understand this is one of the best explanations I have seen
Agreed. This guy acting like it’s not a helpful video just because it isn’t a totally comprehensive guide to Rufus, which it never claimed to be.
The vid gets my 👍🏻👍🏻.
No I did'nt find this useful. I specifially searched for Windows portable boot drive, not Windows installation media.
This does not create a bootable USB drive! All this does is create a drive that you can install Windows from.
Waste of time!!!
Did u find a way to do it ?
@@Eroy2k Yes I figured out that you need WinToUSB and a windows ISO. The windows installer wont let you put it on a USB otherwise
This was also my experience. Does anyone have a solution?
You have to go into your bios files and set it to boot from the flash drive and not a hard drive
@@josheichholz1666 the problem is the drive turns into a windows installation media. It does not give you bootable windows
