- On July 11, 2024 (Today) Eagle Dynamics released their slightly delayed, much anticipated patch and dropped a bunch of stuff including the Flaming Cliffs 2024 module. A little over a year ago I purchased Flaming Cliffs 3 and was instantly hooked, and it has been quite a 700+ hour ride so far.
Set up a mission with some BTR-80's to try out the F-86 for the first time with some rockets and guns. I came up a bit sloppy but got the job done. The older jets are a little more 'laggy' in the controls than the later jets but I found the F-86 surprisingly nimble and friendly to fly. Pretty sure I was fast on the landing but I didn't look up the stall speed before I got behind the controls. - Hry
Very nice, looks like you had a good time.
Looks nice.
It's a classic!
Nice aircraft design.
my FC3 is still broken and i have no option yet to upgrade to FC2024 that i can see.
So there still isn't any fidelity or flippable switches, correct?
Yep flaming cliffs are all passive cockpits
Same flight models though so they handle the same as the full fidelity planes you just have to run all the functions from your hotas or keyboard
DCS: the “S” stands for “switch”.
So, now we have 3 pairs of plans (clickable , non clickable ) and F-15e clickable with F-15C non clickable and another seven non clickable plans where one of them is Chinese copy of Su-27 also we have other clickable models. And what about additional study missions? Are it’s there for non clickable only plans ?
This pack is for beginners and or those on a budget
@@wynn1785 if you know how but today you want to flight quickly without remembering different switches you can also take non clickable plan . So we need to have both clickable and non clickable plans for flight.
14 plans for beginners? Of course if the cost of modules every year became higher on 25% you became beginner by yourself :))) is where study missions inside the flaiming cliffs ? Is this study missions for only non clickable plans or for all plans ?
It´s absolutely pointless to compare the F-15C with the Strike Eagle. These are two completely different animals.
But I´m wondering why they did choose existing full fidelity models to be included as new FC3 models. Yes, it´s for beginners. But it would have been OK for beginners as well, if they had added some nonexistent new models on FC3 level. That way there would have been a reason to purchase even if you already own the high fidelity models.
I was a little confused when they released the names of the planes that would be included in FC2024. I bought FC3 a while back on Steam for 30 bucks on sale and this was offered to me for 13 (CDN dollars) and I said why the hell not? 13 bucks for 3 non-clicky cockpits sounded like a deal to me. I almost bought the Full F-5 model and still might, but I'm gonna try this one first. Would have been nice to see some new flyable aircraft in FC2024 instead.
@@wynn1785 if the cost of the modules became higher and higher every year by 25% then FC2024 will be for beginner, but are there some new training missions in FC2024?
Can you make one showing the F5 and its ordnance?
I will be doing some flying this weekend and I'll see what I can do.
@@RDMills372 thanks
damn it this is so annoying because i had the full fidelity version and and they made it Flaming Cliffs
so?
Do you have both versions? Does anyone? I was curious as to how they compare.
The full fidelity is still intact. This is cheaper version rolled into FC2024. I have both and they are separate in the game.
@@warthunderpro-2232 now we have 3 pairs models of 3 plans in our own clickable and non clickable for our wish :))) what else we have in FC2024 upgrade ?
@@Deniskamir oh dang sorry hadn't known they made them a choice
Imagine not having the REAL F-86
Edit: No hate tho
imagine caring to what other people think
@@BarManFesteiro that's you
Yeah, wasn't too sure why the sabre of all planes was added to FC4; since it's an early cold war jet it's simple enough that you don't have to deal with stuff like MFDs and that kinda thing. Just flip a few switches and you've got the thing running basically. It was my first module and it felt like a great jet to fly for beginners. I feel like the lack of clickable cockpits and stuff tend to just get in the way of really using the plane and it feels more like a hindrance memorizing binds for buttons you could just click with your mouse
