This song "randomly" came up in my suggestions. I know now that it was not random for sure! I grew up in a faith that was very much works based and what is described at the beginning of the song is what I believed. It was about 9 yrs ago that my eyes were opened and I see God for the God He is! Thank you for this wonderful song!

This song is a gift for me. I've always thought God was standing over me with a flyswat ready to swat me at the slightest infraction. I'm just now beginning to realize he is not like that. He is loving and kind and wants what is best for me,

I don't understand the why, but at 70 I know He is beside me in the midst of all this. I pray that today you will be given a little small something that makes you know you are truly seen and loved. Beautiful song, Jesus loves us more than we will ever know and understand until we are with him in the heavenly home. In the meantime we just need to trust him through the hurt and the pain because he will only give us his best and he'll walk with us through the hurt and pain. This is truly so so beautiful! Right now I feel like it already became one of my new favorite songs. This captures so much my relationship with God. All my teen years I was so scared of Him, it almost drove me insane, because it came in the form of ocd thoughts, and the fear from Him quite literally made me mentally ill. So much other things, many other traumas came later, and I became more and more messed up mentally, and I still in the place of a lot of struggles, but slowly in the midst of all this, I got to learn, who God really is. As for me, I still wait for the moment, when I can say, 'It's so nice to finally meet You', because even though in my mind now I clearly see how good He is, and I'm so grateful for His neverending patience with me, and that He's there for me in the darkness, and also, because I know now, that He will lead me out of this valley, but for so many things, right now I'm still unable to feel Him. For so long now, I desire nothing more than a personal relationship with Him, but it's a long journey, and I now know that one day, I'll be there. Now I just need to be patient and wait for His timing.
