My main concern is her obvious extreme weight loss. I'm sure she has felt SO much pressure to maintain thin especially after the media went at her for putting weight on. You literally cannot win.

@@lennon.likejohn seeing how much weight you can lose or how thin you can be can also be an addiction. Anorexia has the highest death rates out of any mental health disorder. It can also cause someone to have more damage to organs or OD if their body isn’t healthy without drugs. Jessica has been open in the past about her “dieting” way back when she did the Dukes of Hazard movie. I’m not saying she’s anorexic, but having an addictive personality can definitely make someone more prone to it.

Theirs a new wave of diabetic drugs that celebs are taking for weight loss. A popular one (Wegovy) was approved by the FDA in 2021. Elon musk, so far, is the only one admitted to taking it. He credited it for his weight loss. It’s relatively safe under doctor supervision, but manufacturers pump up the price thanks to its new “weight management drug” status. Sad people with diabetes have to absorbe so much greed in the pharmaceutical industry.
She seems like she's on pills. Opioid addiction especially can cause the type of weight loss she's exhibiting as well. Could just be the wording as well, but in her statement she states that she's been sober from ALCOHOL for 5 years but doesn't state she's sober.

Ellen might not be a good person. But she has no responsibility for Jessica going out there intoxicated. Literally what is she supposed to do?

As an addict in recovery, I'm worried for Jess. If I had to guess, she seems high on pills: opiates and benzos can make you behave this way 😔💖
It could even just be Xanax/Narco/Soma. These were the popular choice with my age range and they also make you seem drunk.

I don’t know, there are several medical causes that contribute to cognitive decline in young people, and I just don’t see inebriation as only possible cause here. She could have an illness, let’s not just jump to “celebs on drugs” - health problems can hit anymore regardless of age, and I’ve often been mistaken for being high during flareups in my illness. Judgement hurts people.
When i quit drinking i replaced it with an eating disorder and didn’t realize it until i needed rehab. Hope she gets help.

I tripped out on the way she looks now. She’s a beautiful woman and a gentle soul. I hope she gets the help she needs.
I lost my best friend due to mental health issues combined with a hard drug addiction and homelessness, they are still alive, but basically on the run. I had to stop looking up their name once they ran from a felony warrant, it was too much for me to follow, I yearned to see good news, but it never was. Sometimes you have to let them hit rock bottom. Since celebrities have enormous funds that rock bottom is often tragic, because they don't have the same limitations as the average addict.

Her demeanor & speech reminds me a little bit of the way Anna Nicole Smith acted. As a recovering addict myself (11 years sober) I truly hope Jessica is continuing her sobriety. She was someone I loved as a teen, still do to this day. She is raw, funny, ditzy, & has never lost that wholesome southern charm even after stardom.
She is def on something.
As someone who got addicted to pain pills after having 12 surgeries I see the signs … maybe not alcohol but pills. I sincerely hope she is ok. Her weight has always been scrutinized and she’s beautiful at any size ❤

I read her book and she has come clean about her ED and her alcoholism. She has a really good support system and family who loves her including her husband, kids, and her family. She will get through this. Please be kind

As someone who grew up overweight and was heavily bullied for it, and then lost 75 lbs after having a gastric sleeve, it was so frustrating when about 6 months ago my dad kept saying “you look frail”, etc. every time I saw him. I was so tired of it because it made me feel like I couldn’t win. I thought “how is it that people feel like they are entitled to comment on my appearance?” I can only imagine how damaging it can be for Jessica, having the entire world dictate what you should or shouldn’t look like based on your appearance. I will admit her face does look thinner than it has been in the past, but I think we have to take into account that she’s older now too. We were used to seeing her heavier for a long time. I do feel like there’s definitely something off, and that may be a side effect if she’s on any medication that can affect speech. I have empathy for her because she seems like she’s genuinely a sweet person and yet she’s been so heavily scrutinized for so many years.

At first I didn’t think she looked super bad at all. To me the way she talks looks the same as she’s always talked. However, in the new video she posted of her singing, I noticed what everyone said about her eyes … they are empty looking … that only comes from addiction or being super sick. I am someone who was sober from alcohol and drugs for 12 years then relapsed on pills. I lost a ton of weight and was full on in addiction. Just because she’s not drinking, does not mean she is sober! There’s usually no other reason for that amount of weight loss + all the other signs of use other than using.
I've always been curvy. My daughters dad told me when we were dating he thought I was malnourished and then after I gained a little more weight after having my daughter "you've been eating good" couldn't win. Like wtf. I was fine during both phases of my life. I ate and I exercised every day. People are just plain stupid is what I call it. Just shut up and worry about your own body.

I was an opiate addict for 10 years and dabbled with benzodiazepines. I can see the signs of someone who's under the influence of drugs. I pray that Jessica gets into treatment. Hopefully she's not being forced to take drugs. I'm praying for her.

The thing that makes her weight upsetting is because her eyes are sunken in, her skin is pale, she’s slurring her speech, mannerisms are off. It’s not a healthy skinny. Its addiction skinny. When your body and mind tricks you and the drug of choice is more important than food. It’s the ultimate thing to savor. She’s deep into it. 😢 I really really hope she can get better. She has a such a beautiful family and blessed life. And she looks like a really great mom. ❤
She is reminding me of Anna Nicole and all the pills she was on. My bet is on antianxiety medication and way too much of it. I pray she comes through this and makes a comeback
I was on anti-anxiety meds for 30yrs, I am almost positive that's the issue. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I've struggled with addiction since I was 16yo, I'm 34 and addiction is something I struggle with today and probably will for the rest of my life. I pray that Jessica is happy and is doing well.

But we ask how Ashlee was doing and she pulled out her phone and showed us all the pics. Also the bodyguard tried to block us and she told him to stop and let us over to her.

My biggest concern for her is all of the criticism that she's had to endure her entire adult life, that is going to take a toll on anyone. There is definitely a price to pay with fame and we are seeing that with Britney, Jessica and Aaron Carter.

God as if they don't EVERYDAY. It's not body shaming when you are pointing something out. As everyone says. Like Lizzo, she is painfully and dangerously overweight, and somehow saying something about NOT promoting the normalization of that body type, is "cruel". The only people who will argue its cruel to comment on it, are
1. People who are in the same situation, obese, and have too little self will to get better and lose weight (which I don't blame, quitting something and changing is tough af)
And 2. Disturbed people who KNOW are not in that situation, would never understand what it is like to be...but looove follow others to look good. Want to fit in. Want to be "politically correct" as they say...maybe you are too young to actually reason, i dont knlw. I am sure there is disturbing people out there who praise and pretend this is OK because they actually love to see someone else suffer and in a bad circumstance or live their lives like a train wreck.
It's sad not everyone has the insight to see this. When you love someone you have conversations that will either break or make the deal. Really.

If you’ve read her book you know she was SA as a child so I wasn’t surprised when she opened up about her addiction to alcohol. And if you’ve experienced addiction it really doesn’t matter what the ‘drug’ of choice is. Many ppl who get out of one addiction end up going to another one. This can also include eating disorders. I’ve experienced this and also had childhood trauma. I really do believe something is going on with her and I hope she gets help.
Happened to my neice. She's in her late 40s, and she's an alcoholic. But she's always worked and is functional. She almost died a few years back, and has a pacemaker. She drinks redbull with alcohol. So sad. Her molester was a close family member.
I wish her all the best. That part where she was talking about Halloween and how she took the picture to make everyone else think she showed up was so honest and hard to hear. It's difficult to be that honest with even yourself but to tell the whole world about your mistakes(that they would have never known otherwise) takes a whole different level of strength. Shes so sweet and humble and I have a lot of faith and hope that this will pass bc she definitely has the strength and self awareness to do it💓
Her admitting that was so brave! My step daughters mother is currently struggling with alcohol though she is in denial but if your drinking tequila & chasing it with a wine cooler then pass out in an unheated porch before your daughter gets home from schools that’s a sign you have a problem. She always makes sure she takes pictures though to make it seem like she has the perfect life on social media when in reality it’s not like that at all. So I commend Jessica admitting that she took a picture to make it seem like she was there.
In her post, she very specifically says she’s been “sober from alcohol”, which makes me think she’s not mentioning being sober from pills on purpose despite having a previous addiction to them.

The slurred speech could be absolutely anything tbh. I myself am prescribed SSRI's, mood stabilizers and anti anxiety medications and my speech gets really slurred shortly after taking my medication or when i'm a few hours late taking it
Fame does so much to people. So sad.
People bash her constantly for being too fat, being too skinny, throughout the years. Maybe that is why she turned to booze & pills. Peoples words can be very hurtful. Im wondering if shes not eating enough. If you look at people who had anorexia, they spoke slow & just didn’t seem right. As people, we criticize each other so much and we don’t realize that some people can really be affected by our words. I pray & hope she finds a safe ground in her life where she doesn’t have to worry about people constantly criticizing her. Im glad she got off the booze & whatever else she was doing. And I do hope she gets all the help she needs. And if shes on meds for like Xanax or other meds, that could be affecting her also. I hope she knows that there are people who are actually praying for her🌻

Jessica is a naturally shy and reserved person. Also a very sensitive one. She is woman of faith, and the evil types have tried to break her down for years. And they've used her childhood sexual abuse against her.
She got sexually abused as a child, I know her Dad ended up gay sort of like Bruce Jenner

To a girl like Jessica, especially due to her childhood sexual assault, she sadly thought that the only way the she could get someone to stay with her was through sex. John didn't actually love her, she was a conquest to him, and sadly she know it.

The reason Jessica slurs her speech isn’t because she’s still drinking alcohol. Its because she’s developed something called Dysarthria which is a condition where prolonged alcohol intoxication causes permanent mumbling/slurring to speech. Its extremely common with those that has struggled with alcohol addiction.
Basically, alcohol kills your brain cells and don’t drink it kids. My prayers are with Jessica and her healing. ❤
@HeyName I believe her weight loss is something separate. Her skin has a yellow tinge probably due to cirrhosis of the liver from drinking.
I don’t believe Jessica is using drugs as nothing about her behaviour suggests it. Her speech is due to brain damage. It happens over time due to alcohol consumption. That’s why she also struggles to get words out.
The reason I know all this is because a family member has the same thing and they’ve been sober for years. It’s easy to spot when you know the signs ☺️

I can confirm. I'm a recovering alcoholic and my speech pattern has changed even after I got sober. My speech got sloppier, lazier and I slur my words. I hope it goes away sometime. I miss my speech pattern. It used to be rich in sound. I don't know how to fix it

I believe she has a ED on top of what she’s going through. Everyone made fun of her when she gained weight post-pregnancy. Apparently a lot of early 2000’s stars struggle with ED. Amanda Bynes, the Olsens twins, Lindsey Lohan etc.
Hilary duff did as well.
I wish I could just give her a big hug. She's been through so much throughout her career and I can't imagine surviving all she's been through.

I have hyperthyroidism and I was so fed up of the accusations of addiction (slurred words), anorexia (weightloss) etc. Drove me mad. But never gave an explanation, why should I have? Why should she? Is it fair for others to diagnose her or tell her she has things wrong? Maybe she is battling something in private and doesn't need this.

@@b108b I worked at my local hospital for years as a medical assistant on the neurology floor. I seen alot of patients that had T.I.A'S which are mini strokes, and I thought perhaps that is what had taken place with Jessica.

After reading her book a few years back I gained a lot of respect for her. She seems like such a genuinely kind person and 100% doesn't deserve all the horrible things people have said about her and to her over the years. That being said something is definitely not right and I truly hope she gets better.
after what happened with chadwick boseman (RIP 💔) i think it’s wise for people to just refrain from discussing weight. you just never know what someone is going through.
No. I don’t think it’s toxic or “fatphobic” to notice a drastic difference in the Jessica we all knew for so long physically. Honestly, her size aside though, the main thing I noticed was that her eyes appear to look sunken in, with some major dark circles. She really does look very tired and somewhat unhealthy. I don’t think it’s wrong to notice this and to be concerned about her well-being.
This makes me very upset. When these artists are making mega money for the industry. Why is it that they don't help when the artist is struggling. I would do everything in my power to help them and make sure they are getting better. The industry is very ungrateful I truly pray for Jessica and her family!!🙏❤

I'm a recovered alcoholic and I think she relapsed either on alcohol or pills. I feel so bad for her everyone is always judging how she looks it would be upsetting for anyone. I hope she knows she has value that is not related to her looks!!

I’m going to have to agree here. Not only comparing old clips to present clips. The need to reaffirm she’s sober when no one was accusing. It’s apparent in her slowed speech and her demeanor and appearance she is taking medications again. Probably benzos. I say this with the utmost respect to anyone going through it, addiction isn’t funny and it takes one to know one. If you or a loved one has been through it you can see clear as day she is using. Using and abusing are different. Maybe that ad was the best take even tho it was terrible OR maybe it’s because she’s prescribed meds and everyone who works with her knows this is her. Because of her meds.
@@s.g6260 Definitely what I think too -- the croaky voice, lower register and slight slurring -- either benzos or opioids. She could be on suboxone. It's hard to see but I definitely think something like that's going on. Also agree -- I say this with the most respect to those battling with addiction

Praying for her healing, my mom is currently 2 years clean and she’s looking, sounding, and thinking much better now than she did for the past 6-7 years before she was clean. Addiction is hard on the person and their whole lives.

When my ED was at its peak, I had slurred speech and had no energy to talk even. So maybe that's what's going on with Jessica. Who knows. Best of luck to her

I feel for Jessica I too struggle in the many ways she has/is I suffer with alcoholism an ED along with major depression and ptsd I also have children so I understand how hard it is to cope with everything and still be strong for your family and yourself. 💕 I pray we find ourselves again. I didn't see the whole video myself, just the clips of her singing. Based on that she just has such a vacant look in her eyes and it's really sad. She definitely does also look "sickly", which could be due to everything she's been through for years and possibly some mental health struggles now. I truly hope she gets whatever help and healing her body and soul needs ✨

Agree. I’m not really into her music but think she is talented. I remember that some of her exes have spoken publicly about her in really despicable ways. Also unlike some other celebs I don’t ever remember hearing anything about her mistreating people or anything.

As a recovering addict, who was addicted to anything and everything, it looks like she's using again, tho i cant say what for sure. It may even be overuse of prescribed meds.. Her behavior, and her eyes tell the story to me. I lived like that for years and you can hide alot, but your eyes show everything. Praying she can overcome her demons and find her peace and true happiness again🙏

She was prescribed Adderall before when she was drinking. She could be abusing that. I also know that when it comes to an addictive personality, one can feel totally out of control and can transfer from one unhealthy behavior to another when under extreme stress. I just hope she IS well and okay.
As a recovering addict myself, I agree 100% that she appears to be using. I can hear it in her speech and see it in her eyes. Her weight may or may not have anything to do with it.

That story she told about Halloween really hit me because Halloween 2021 was the same for me I had relapsed in 2020 with drinking and on Halloween instead of taking my kids trick or treating I got drunk and then didn’t feel good thankfully their dad did but I will regret that for the rest of my life and that story just hit me hard
It sucks but don't be too hard on yourself . It's not like Halloween is a one time thing that you and your kids won't get to enjoy ever again. You will have many more Halloweens to enjoy 😍

There has to be a law to protect all these celebrities, just like us regular 9-5 ppl we have a max of how many hours to work a day and/or days; celebs should also have a limit of work .
Being a mother is exhausting. People have ALWAYS had something to say about her weight no matter how big or small she is. I think her eyes look sad and tired. They don't show any emotion even when she's smiling. (Possibly from botox injections)

My mom was a bad alcoholic for 5 years, she quit a few years ago and now always has a slur, that’s just how she talks now. Maybe that’s why she’s slurring, but her eyes look dead like mine did when I was a pill head. Hopefully she can get the help she needs, being sober is the best way to go!!!

The struggles don't ever end as far as addiction. It's a demon that can rear its ugly head at any time, so please stay strong! 🌟💖

Britney was keeping it classy and kind during those years and kept being super nice towards all her haters. It is easy for them to be nice now as they see that Britney is struggling aswell.
Now Britney is unfortunately totally broken and mentally ill after all that trauma so I don't think there is anything to comment on what is she saying.

Jessica doesn’t look well or act normal. They say that the eyes are the window to the soul and her eyes look hauntingly sad with no spark or spirit in them. Something is very wrong and I’m concerned for her.
Being a veteran recovering addict I have to say tho that it sucks the stigma the label addict has and no matter what you do or how long you've been clean everyone will still throw any blame your way everytime anything happens due to past behavior. I've dealt with that from my family even still and I've been in recovery over a decade. Sucks tho that she's got the whole world to throw shit at her no matter what the case is with her clean or not. I can definitely relate and hope the best for her! All I know is that anybodys personal shit is nobodys business I mean yeah say what all you want about celebs but they don't ever have to tell anyone anything when comes to personal shit! It's stupid!

i can relate i been sober for 6 years and same thing people always love to judge me, no matter i been at my same job for 6 years now and i completely turned my life around, but in their eyes im still the addict. it sucks
