Join us for our first day in London for this trip as we take the Great Western Railway train into Paddington Station, checking in to our hotel and showing you the room and our view of Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, taking the tube - the London underground - to explore the exciting Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square Christmas Market, try some street food, and see Back to the Future Musical on West End at the Adelphi Theater, and making our way through the streets of London on a cold rainy afternoon and evening! This continues our UK travel adventures in December 2022 through January 2023, stay tuned for more fun to come!

I live in Manchester, so I got to see Back to the Future The Musical back in early 2020 just before it was supposed to head to the West End. The second time I remember thinking "this might be our last time before theatres shut down". They closed the next day 😬
Saw back to the future musical in London in November one of the best musicals currently in London
London is on my bucket list to visit one day. The vibes for the holidays are just gorgeous. Im seeing back to the future when the show comes to Broadway in the summer and I cannot wait!!!

I don't live in London, but i do live near Birmingham, England where i was born & raised.
I have been to London many many times & it's a great city.
Birmingham is about a 3 hour car ride from London or approximately 120 miles.
If you ever get the chance you may like visiting Birmingham.
You can get the train from London Euston train station to Birmingham New Street train station.
You may also want to check out the new Elizabeth Line railway line that's named after our late Queen Elizabeth ll who recently died in September earlier this year 2022.
The Elizabeth Line covers parts of London, Essex & Berkshire.
It being cold & raining is normal typical British weather in the UK.
When you have lived here for 43 years like i have, you get used to it.

You can't go wrong with a Premier Inn, great view towards Hyde Park and Winter Wonderland. Tube tip, front or back are normally your best bet for quieter carriages in Central (depending of course on the platform as some people enter the station on the ends!). But of course, this is not always the case as it is London, it's always busy 😆
Good old rainy London! The third assurance in life (after death and taxes) is a wet day in England 😂 We love the underground, though! It’s been a long time since we last visited Paddington. Had not heard of the Premiere Inn, but definitely looks larger and more comfortable than most Marriott’s and Hilton’s! 🤩 Love it the props, stage and lobby for BttF - did not at all expect that Tron-looking main stage area what with the usual 80’s vibe of the movies and the merch. Sounds like you all had an amazing time, despite the weather! ☺️ Thanks for taking us along!

Back to the Future the Musical does sound fun! But yeah, the Aldwych Stage Door is round the back - you can take the really atmospheric tiny alley way up to get to it.
I figured it was around the back, we kinda tried but it was really dark and wet and I didn’t see any ppl hovered around like usual so I wasn’t convinced to go down a dark alley 😅
@@SuperEnthused LOL Yeah I really don't blame you! It's an area to explore on a warm summer's evening for sure, not in the cold rain! But next time, it's worth asking one of the Front of House staff where the Stage Door is. They'd be likely to mention if there's any restrictions that would make it not worth your while waiting.
