Grouse Mountain's Iconic Blue Tram Takes Last Journey

After an incredible 58 years, our iconic Blue Tram has officially taken its last journey to the mountaintop signaling the end of an era as we make way for our new, state-of-the-art gondola.
Welcoming its first passengers in 1966, the original Grouse Mountain "Skyride" was the largest, double reversible passenger carrying tramway in Canada at the time, providing a silent and smooth journey to the mountaintop.
The Blue Tram holds a special place in our history, and we are committed to honouring its legacy as we advance with the construction of the gondola and enhance our four-season operations. While our plans for the tram cars and not yet finalized, rest assured, this wont be the last you see of the Blue Tram!
