- This 100 year old recipe my mother-in-law taught me is always relevant! The easiest, tastiest and most delicious recipe.
RECIPE :
200 ml warm milk.
200 ml of warm water.
10 grams of dry yeast.
Mix everything well until the yeast has dissolved.
Sift 570 g flour.
Gradually add flour.
Add 8 grams of salt.
Gradually add flour.
Knead the dough with a spoon.
Add the rest of the flour.
Knead the dough with your hands.
Put the dough on the table.
Mix well.
Form a ball from the dough.
Lubricate the bowl with vegetable oil.
Put the dough in a bowl.
Cover the dough with cling film.
Let the dough rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
The dough has risen well.
Put the dough on the table.
Form a ball from the dough.
Divide the dough into 3 equal pieces.
Form a ball from each piece of dough.
Put the dough on a plate.
Cover the dough with cling film for 10 minutes.
Melt 125g butter.
Add 100 g vegetable oil.
Mix everything.
Shred 200g feta cheese with a fork.
Sprinkle the table with flour.
Roll out the dough like me.
Circle diameter 42 cm.
Do the same for the rest of the test.
Lubricate the dough with oil.
Put feta cheese on the dough.
Cover with dough.
Repeat everything again.
Repeat after me.
Fold the dough as I show.
Don't forget to oil the dough.
Shape the dough into a cake.
Place the cake on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Cover the cake with a towel.
Let the cake rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.
Repeat after me.
Lubricate the cake with egg yolk.
Bake the rolls in an oven preheated to 190 °C for 20-25 minutes.
The cake should be golden brown.
Transfer the cake to the rack.
Cover the cake with a towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Minimal ingredients all the flavor. If you make this aim for salty feta cheese and tasty olive oil. She would lather all the layers front back with olive oil and pre bake them in the oven a bit first. She would work on one while the other was baking, make a layer then switch again.

Hello, I'm an amateur baker in Canada. I studied your video of the German focacia five or six times, then I made it with excellent results. You are a great teacher. This delicious "cake" as you refer to it, was also very fun to make. As I ate many slices, I marveled over the numerous layers per bite. The feta cheese is a nice addition, not overwhelming at all, but just right. Looking forward to your other creations.

This is a beautiful recipe. I love how soft and fluffy it is. Way better than a store pp. I want to try this but with my spin- with adding oregano, olives[ well dried], powdered garlic and onion, and pre cooked candied tomatoes or sun dried tomatoes.
